Stunning, shimmery eyeshadow. I chose Queen Phyllis and couldn't be happier. It's a pale golden , champagne hue. I like to use a dampened brush and dab it just above my lash line. It makes my blue eyes pop! I even run a bit through my blonde hair to brighten my highlights. I feel like I'm shining like the sun.😊
Only when seeing some video tutorials online did I hear that quite a few people don't like Warmth. I can understand, as when I got mine in my starter kit, I looked at it and thought woah! FAR too dark! The key, as many others, say, is to use a tiny amount. Uncover just one of the holes in your dispenser, shake out a few speckles and start there. Using the smaller flawless face brush rather than the biggest one probably allows you to use a little less too. Since I tried this, though, I have also discovered it's a fantastic eyeshadow for blue eyes, they really pop! Blend it well wherever you use it, and if it's still too dark, blend with mineral veil or one of the pale radiance products. It does look utterly terrifying and if you just plop it on, it will look wrong. Use tiny amounts, build up, blend, make sure not to forget your ears and down the neck too.
This is by far and away the nicest and most natural bronzing product I have yet experienced. If you are like me, then you have probably had a bad experience (or more than one in my case) from bronzing. In most cases a bronzer cannot be applied too heavily otherwise it looks both unnatural and seems to accentuate every flaw and wrinkle on the face. They tend to look so artificial that they cheapen any look you try to achieve. The alternative is to use a bronzer in a very sparse and light way which would be so minimal that the effect would either only be noticed by you or more likely not noticed by anybody at all. Thus I had decreed that all bronzing products should be banned from my house and I would be happy enough to look sick and white throughout the year. Then I found this product. Unlike other bronzers this does not achieve a "bronze" look. The product title is "Warmth All Over" and this is precisely what is achieved. The look after applying this is like somebody who has just come back indoors after working in the sun on a hot day. Some would say the face looks very slightly red, rather than brown. Because it should be applied all over (again as the name suggests) the result is so much more natural. What you are left with is a very healthy and glowing look. Unlike other bronzing products this does not seem to accelerate the ageing process by 30 years and any fine lines or deep wrinkles are, if anything, hidden more than accentuated. A product like this is absolutely and utterly indispensible for people like me who take immunosuppressive drugs and are unable to spend any time in the sun due to the hightened risk it poses. Rather than take those really ridiculous risks, you can now wear strong SPF creams or powders and then use this on top to achieve the same look you see on your friends who are able to spend time outdoors enjoying the sunshine or going abroad several times per year. Rest assured, your friends wil not make comments regarding how brown you look or "you have caught the sun," it will be a lot more like, "you look really lovely today," or "you look really well at the moment" and I am sure I speak for everybody reading this review when I say that such a comment is far more pleasing. Do yourself a favour and give this a try. I promise you will not regret it in the slightest. If it is any help, I find the best Bare Minerals brush to use with this is the Soft Focus Face Brush or the Handy Buki Brush. Where both the above brushes are concerned, rather than use the swirl and tap method we see a lot, I found the best result from the "dab into the powder and then tap the excess off and use circular motions across the face." If you find that too much is applied in any one area, just brush from side to side which will even it out again. Wonderful, amazing product.
I first purchased this eyeshadow in the 'nude beach' colour several years ago on the recommendation of a friend with much darker skin than me (I am very pale) and so was skeptical if it would look right, as it suited her. However, it was money well spent. It is so easy to sweep on as a colour by itself or to layer with other eyeshadows. It is glittery enough to be used for an evening look (best when layered) but most commonly I wear it during the day as it is super easy and quick to use and comes out a very natural colour. I always get lots of compliments about how nice my eye makeup is when I apply this shadow. Best of all it has lasted for ages and ages; the pot contains loads of shadow and you don't need much each time because the colour is so strong. Given how long it has lasted it is certainly money well spent. Buy it!
I have a pale skin tone and find it hard to find a bronzer which doesn't just look silly on my skin. Despite being a deep colour, it looks so nice on my skin, and is buildable depending on what look I am going for. The consistency of the powder is great and it lasts throughout the day. I love it, well recommended! I just wish it was a bit cheaper, but it has lasted a long time so it seems worth the price.
As a touché éclat devotee for over 7 years and a bare minerals addict for the last 2years I sadly beloved that touché éclat would be the one product bare minerals couldn't replace, it would always have a place in my make up bag surrounded by my bare minerals favourites. How wrong was I????? Bare Minerals has done it again this gorgeous product beats touch éclat hand down covers dark circles like a dream and guess what it last longer and is cheaper! If your touché éclat is low try this you won't be disappointed......
This product is so good!! I am very very pale, and this adds colour to my otherwise ghostly face - and it looks so natural!! It's also very versatile, on the rare occasion I do get a bit of colour to my skin it's very short lived so I don't want to buy a new pot of foundation... I won't finish it so what's the point? That's where warmth comes in... I mix it in with my foundation a little bit as I use the powdered matte foundation and it essentially makes my foundation tan-friendly for me! Fab fab fab product can't say enough good things about it :) Defo give it a try!!!
I was in a "Smokey Eye" rut, always using variations of the same shades. I wanted a definite striking look, for a day time event that I, rightly, thought would last all night too. I ordered "Ell-If-I-Know", as ever, it arrived promptly. The Shimmer eyeshadow, is very striking. Don't assume such shades are the reserve of high fashion shoots, the cat walk, or make up artists. It's clearly not intended to be a subtle shade, but it's very wearable. I applied "Well Rested Face and Eye Brightener" and Prime Time eye lid primer. I used the narrow end of the precision eye brush to dab along lash line, and corner of my waterline. I've got (quite pale) blue eyes, but this makes them look as blue as I've ever seen them. Now I really know what make up artists mean, when they say "This will make your eye colour POP"!! I used neutral colours on the rest of the eye, so nothing detracted from this stunning blue, but also to make sure I didn't look OTT. The yield is incredible, I can't imagine ever needing to re-stock. Obviously, this means it's also great value for money. I think, this Summer will see me trying a few more BM "Shimmers", as I've re-discovered the transformation a splash of colour makes. Very happy customer. :-)
I know this is an all-over face product but as my skin is pale I use this with the figure of 3 on the hollows of my cheeks, temple and jaw line which works really well. I use it everyday and it doesn't look like I am going to run out any time soon, there is so much product for your money!! It looks natural but can be built up for a more striking look if needed. A staple product in my makeup bag!
I have fair skin and so getting the perfect bronzer can be a real struggle for me, bronzers are either too dark or too orange and end up looking too obvious, but the struggle ended when i discovered this, i use the lightest shade which is fair to light and i this is the best bronzer i have ever used, gives a light bronzer colour and makes me look like i have just been on the beach. No fly away product as this is a pressed bronze either and has a mirror on the inside lid.
