I love you sloppy Joe!!!! I'm 28 days post op and still on the puréed diet. I was hesitant at first because I don't like anything too spicy but I figured I would give it a try and I'm so happy I did. It's so good! I added 3 ounces of kidney beans for the added protein and just Wow! Don't tell my hubby cuz it's better than his:)
This has become one of my favorite products. I add bell pepper, black olive and Italian herbs then serve over riced cauliflower. Very tasty and filling!
It really fills you up, and is pretty darn close to the real thing (my finicky father couldn't tell the difference).
Having tried all flavors, this one is my favorite! As a bariatric patient (bypass), it's the perfect amount and the taste is great!! I take for lunch in a thermos. As I progress, I can see me adding perhaps a little ground turkey or beef for even more protein. This flavor is a must try. I am reordering now!
The texture of this sloppy joe was good. It looked like sloppy Joe. The taste was close to the real thing but had a little aftertaste but not bad. I will order again.
This is a good food option when you’re looking for a change of flavor. I put it on romaine lettuce, added cheese, tomato, and made a wrap. A little sliced onions would be great, too. The flavor was a little stronger than expected. I will add more water to it next time - hopefully, it will water down the flavor. Pretty good when you’re looking for a change and a boost to your protein.
I tried the sloppy joe on its own and it was ok. I have it for lunch and am on a program where i have to have 2 cups of vegetables with lunch. I use 1 tblspn of olive oil and cook 2 cups of assorted veggies(pepper, mushroom, broccoli rice, asparagus etc). I use just under 6oz of water micromave for 2 1/2 min, stir, nuke for 1 more min. Add veggies. MUCH MUCH BETTER than eating it by itself!
I'm not a surgery patient, just a guy looking to drop some weight. Sloppy Joe mix tastes pretty good. I've only tried 1 packet so far and I know that I have to experiment with how much water to use and the cooking times. Overall I'm satisfied with the taste. I added a little meat, poured the sloppy Joe mix over the top and had a low calorie dinner
Looking forward to trying this. Bought it but havent tried it yet. But I'm sure it will taste as good as the others....just tried this for lunch. And was right. Tastes good. I love sloppy Joe's. And this fits tight up there . Will buy this again portion size was great. Just enough for me
Overly sweet. It tasted like I dropped a dozen sugar packets on top, a la Elf. I put it over some potatoes but only ate half before my garbage disposal (read: husband) took the remainder. I'll finish the box but probably won't buy again.
