This is great, new concept: pre-cooked pasta! I love it! It tasted great. The convenience factor was incredible. I will be buying this going forward. It's a must try!
This product makes pasta in just a few minutes as compared to stovetop which can take 20 or more when you includ boiling the water. Pasta came out pretty much exactly the same as when we boil it and we mixed it with white wine and seafood and it came out absolutely delicious and was slightly al dente.
I received this free Barilla product in exchange for my honest review! Barilla's Ready Pasta speeds up any week night meal! I love how easy it is to use this product. The packaging provides quick and easy instructions on how to prepare this pasta. You can use the microwave to cook the pasta in 60 seconds or heat it on top of the stove. I chose to heat mine over the stove and it was just as quick as the microwave. The pasta comes out soft and still has the perfect texture of a traditionally cooked noodle. I did not think that the noodles were soggy and my one year-old really enjoyed them as well. I topped these noodles with my favorite red sauce and enjoyed them as an Italian style meal. After a long workday, I am always looking for a quick and easy dinner idea. This pasta is not only quick to make, but it is packed with simple ingredients that I believe are safe to consume. I will definitely purchase this product again in the near future. This truly speeds up dinner preparation! Try this today if you're looking to save time!
As a busy mama making dinner sometimes can be stressful with the toddler that just wants attention, but this past was made so fast! You can make it in the microwave for 60 seconds but I prefer to use the stove and it literally took 3 from start to plated! And a plus clean ingredients!
I tried another Italian style of pasta in a pouch, because WalMart was out of the Barilla. I now realize Barilla ready cooked past in a pouch is really a better quality pasta. I cooked with a different Italian style brand of pasta in a pouch, and Barilla is the best. I use all the different pasta shapes. I usually put it in the microwave then put it in a pan with different items and seasonings. The portion size is just right. The calorie are just right and this can be a side dish or a main dish, depending on how you prepare the pasta.
I love the concept of this Ready Pasta by Barilla. The fact that you can pop it in the microwave and have it ready so fast instead of boiling a pot of water is great and convenient. The only downside to it is that it was a little more firm than I wanted, which may just be caused by my microwave wattage. Overall I would purchase it again when I quickly need noodles.
I enjoyed making this rotini. it was very easy to heat the pasta up. the packaging was easy to open, and contained a nice sized serving. in fact I couldn't finish it all. that being said, even though I tried it right out of the microwave and it tasted like it had a little salt on it, when I ate it the next day for lunch it seemed to be lacking some flavor and it was not very soft. I don't think there was anything that I could have done to make it any softer. it seemed firmer than al dente. I had added some salad dressing, celery, bell peppers, broccoli, as well as a stick of pepper jack cheese. I would be interested in trying it again With a recipe that is meant to be hot. Overall, I think it's a very good product when you Don't have a lot of time, and only need to feed one person, possibly two.
I received this product for free in exchange for my honest opinion. Though I appreciate it for its convenience, I do prefer preparing fresh pasta over this, I find that fresh pasta has a better texture that can't be replicated. This product however would be great for students in college dorms or those without access to a full kitchen (i.e., when travelling).
the precook noodles are good, they taste great, but the seller offered them at 57 cents each plus 1.00 shipping per item from Walmart, but then charged 30.98 for shipping and then refused to give me a refund for the difference per Walmart.
I opened the bag and the pasta was black and smelled horrible. I was so disappointed.
