Barra 1866 CO2 Lever Action Rifle Gold .177

This rifle is awesome! It feels like and looks like the rifle I use for hunting. It is solid and well made. The action is smooth and is all metal. It shoots well and is fun. I can practice with this without having to pay the price for a real bullets as the weight of it is the same as my regular rifle. It is a quality product!

Barra has totally impressed me with this replica of the Winchester Model 1866 "Yellow Boy" Lever Action .44 Rifle. The attention to detail is spot on except for the optics mount that I removed for display purposes. What a fantastic replica to say the least. Many years ago, I bought the Umarex "Walther Wells Fargo Edition" lever action rifle with the gold finish. An awesome rifle that I still cherish to this day and love to shoot. However, the Barra 1866 has gone above and beyond impressive with this rifle. From the really nice gold finish to the attention to detail of this rifle such as the octagon barrel. What an awesome gun to say the least, and with the option to change it from a .177 to a .22 pellet rifle is the cherry on top of an already impressive rifle, and unlike my Umarex Walther rifle; it loads and ejects shells for a much more real experience while shooting this rifle. The only thing that would have made this rifle a total hit for collectors like me is to have had the option to buy it in a real wood stock. The extra cost would have been well worth it. I also know it could have been done because I also own an Umarex "Legends Cowboy" lever action rifle in gold that has a real wood stock which unfortunately is no longer available anywhere. So, a real wood stock kit to replace the foe wood stock on this rifle would be fantastic Barra. Believe me, it would be a real hit with collectors like me. Anyway, real wood stock or not. This is one fantastic rifle, and one I will cherish for years to come. Many thanks Barra, it's a real winner in my book.

Well made. Could be mistaken for a firearm. It's a real peach.

More than pleased with the 1866. Was surpised by the heft of the rifle. Weight almost the same as a real Winchester 1873. Got the gold finish because it reminds me of a Henry rifle. The loading or individual rolls and their subsequent ejection of the them is neat. Very accurate at 25 yards.

Recently I purchased the 1866 Barra Cowboy Rifle. The thing I like most is the octagonal shape of the barrel which gives the rifle a powerful look. The Barra 1866 Cowboy Series seems to capture the essence of classic lever-action rifles. Its authentic design makes shooting with it feel truly satisfying. Plus, the CO2-powered mechanism and ease of loading sound are like an addition to the convenience and enjoyment.

Two things I had to get used to when first shooting this air gun. 1) I have to VERY firmly tighten the CO2 plug for it to perforate the outer CO2 cartridge. This made me very nervous in fear of damaging the perforating pins and threads. 2) to rack in a pellet cartridge, it requires an aggressive action motion to the levers full extent for a shell to position itself properly. This made me worry about possibly damaging the levers actuation and life expectancy. 3) I'm only getting about 60 shots with good power using two CO2s. As Pros go: I ordered the .177 barrel kit and only shoot pellets. 1) accuracy is fantastic and I am shooting using the buckhorn site at 20-25 yards! 2)The guns feel and aesthetics is top notch and closely resemble my Henry .44 mag and Rossi 92 .44 mag. I bought this gun for home shooting and prepping for deer season with the two mentioned. 3) Ordering and delivery were excellent I am well pleased with my purchase and recommend this air gun!

Let me start by saying I do like this gun a lot. But i have encountered a problem.. The side port where the cartridges go, is a bit small for my fingers to push the cartridge in all the way to lock it in, so it doesn't pop back out on the floor. And another problem it seems to have is, when i do get the cartridges to fit. They bind up and i can't put in all the cartridges. I have to eject the few i have in there. And start over. And that doesn't always work either.. I know how to put shells into a gun like this. So it's not operator error. I will keep tinkering with it just to make sure. So with that being said. I would not let that stop me from purchasing this gun.

I love the way it looks like the real thing. Was bummed out a little because there were gouge marks in the wood stock and butt whenever I opened the box. Other than that I'm okay with the overall look. Haven't shot it yet, been busy working. Hopefully I'll be able to soon.
