Bought this to make slippery wooden stairs safer and it works well. Not sure how long it will last, but seems very durable. The color is a little transparent, but mostly gives a frosty-white look which I don't mind.

I have light wood stairs and when i first opend the adhesive tape i though it's going to cover the wood look, but after i applied the tape i was very happy that it actually very clear tape where your wood look it's still there, and actually most guests didn't notice it. we have 4 kids and cats so it does trap dirt and hair but its easy to clean with the vacuum. its easy to apply but use the right technique to avoid having bubbles in it. For sure its a life saver from falling of the stairs.

The grit level is good. It comes off clean so far. But it is not transparent. It is what I would call “frosted.” As you can see in the picture, the thinner tape is a different “transparent” brand. The wider tape (this brand) doesn't come close to being transparent.

Had to put on a step that I need to step up on my bed. It works great my feet don't slip.
