Batman / Batman Returns (DVD)

The best part of this set is that it doesn't include the horrible movies by Joel Schumacher (Batman Forever, and Batman & Robin). You don't have to stain your DVD collection with those horrid movies. Batman (1989) is the BEST Batman movie EVER made. Batman was reinvented from campy Adam West Batman to dark stoic and brooding Michael Keaton Batman; plus, Keaton is the best Batman to date. Keaton is to Batman what Sean Connery is to Bond. Jack Nicholson's Joker is creepy, funny, and the best interpretation of the character to grace the big screen. The movies is the ULTIMATE Batman VS Joker movie; it is what the movie centers on. The gothic set designs by Anton Furst were amazing. The score by Danny Elfman was weaved superbly throughout the movie. In Short, Batman (1989) is one of the most influential superhero movies of all time and for good reason [only second to Superman (1978)]. The director Tim Burton, Elfman, and Michael Keaton return for Batman Returns; there second and last collaboration on the character. Catwoman portrayed by Michelle Pfeiffer was excellent (best part of the movie). However, the Penguin takes some getting used to (You almost wish Daniel Waters [the writer] tried less to make him a perverted freak), and Max Shrek seems like a waste of space; you almost wish for an amalgamation of those two characters in order to slim down the story. The movie is waaay better than anything Joel Schumacher put out afterwards, but unlike Batman (1989) this is more a Tim Burton movie/production (Think: Edward Scissor Hands). It is still visually gothic and beautiful, but the story is not as cohesive as Batman (1989); but no Batman movie has ever been. However, It is still one of the best Batman movies EVER made. The best live action BATMAN movies to date: 1). Batman (1989) 2). The Dark Knight (2008) 3). Batman Returns (1992)

Classic of my childhood.

it was a challenging choice sticking to my budget when I was choosing between this double feature of Batman and Batman Returns or The Dark knight (all three good movies)at my job for just five dollars. However, I went ahead with this double feature because I feel lucky to admit that I previously already had the chance to enjoy seeing the Dark knight at Valencia Community College (in Orlando florida) during the autumn 2009 period. The Dark knight movie was selected as a film choice for a movie/pizza party for Valencia Community College students. I chose to purchase Batman and Batman Returns for just five dollars at my job because of the double feature for five dollars and it had been a while longer since I had the chance to see both of these movies (I was 8.5 years old when the first Batman was released). The First Batman deals with the Batman Character having to deal with evil while shielding the woman he loves dearly from harm. Jack Nicholson, Michael Keaton, and kim Basinger are listed on the front of the dvd to be a part of the first batman. Meanwhile, Batman Returns stars Michael Keaton, Danny Devito, and michelle Pfeiffer. Jack nicholson's joker character and Michael keaton's batman character are two of the images featured on the back of the dvd. Both movies are listed to include production notes and subtitle language options in French, English, and Spanish.

This is such a great deal for the combo of the 2 movies. My kiddos had been wanting to watch both of them, and to have both movies on one disc for $5, it was an unbeatable Christmas gift!

just my opinion the best out of the whole series about now Jack Nicholson is the Joker in Danny DeVito is the Penguin.

They are the classic Batman's!! What can I say, you like them or not. Now that we are adults and have technology, we see all 5he flaws of movies back them. But we bought them cuz we like them. :)

He already had this movie, I need to return, but walmart plus was on time with their shipping despite a winter storm.
