Batman: Gotham Knight [Blu-ray]

Batman Gotham Knight is a great collection of animated shorts by todays top japanese animators and animation studios. The set up is very similar to the AniMatrix collection. The variety of art styles showcased here is very diverse and may turn off many hardcore fans of Batman, especially in the short where Bruce is drawn to look asian. The stories are great with my favorites being "Have I Got a Story for you?" and "In Darkness Dwells" The styles of these shorts are very unique. "Have I Got a Story for You?" has some really quirky character designs but it fits the story seeing as it's being told through the eyes of kids and when you see Batman as a "living shadow" you'll be amazed. If you've seen Tekkon Kinkreet and liked it you will enjoy this one. "In Darkness Dwells" has a very crime noir feel to the art with the heavy use of black for the shadows and flat colors. The backgrounds stand out in both shorts helping to give Gotham City a life of it's own. If you like Batman or animation, give Gotham Knight a shot. I think you would enjoy it.

Loved the animation and variety, only wish there was a 4K version

This is a great blueray to get if you like batman it is a really action packed cartoon.

This a a wonderful addition to the Batman animated movie collection. It is a batch of short films that make up a Batman movie with different stories and art designs. Similar to the wonderful animatrix that they did for the matrix films. These movies are set in the dark knight trilogy movie universe.
