Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham (4K Ultra HD + Blu-Ray), Action, Warner Bros.

DC Animation has always been good. Not sure why DC gets their animated films right almost all the time. But can't get the live action correct. As always, great animated story and hey, it is Batman. Need I say more?

Lovecraft vs. Batman in an edgy alt-universe collision. I want more... not since the "Gotham by Gaslight" series or "Batman v Dracula" has there been a better horror reimagining of Gotham and its vigilant vigilante.

Big fan of Batman. I really enjoyed this movie.

Great movie that mixes Batman with Lovecraft

Good DC animated movie that's different from the others

This Batman movie is probably good for a Halloween movie night cause it seems a bit on the eerie side. This is a not your typical Batman movie where he beats the villain then go home and takes off his suit then call it a day. It's a different conclusion at the end so you might be disappointed! This 4K blue ray comes with a standard blue ray and to my viewing it's really close as far as the picture quality and it's hard to tell the difference.

All right, so they went a completely different route with this particular story, here. I do like the elements of horror and the dark theme to the story. The animation reminds me of the old skool 90s/early 2000s and I'm not even mad about that since that's what I grew up on and honestly those themes were more grown up but without exposing too much to younger minds. This was what I found was positive about the movie. Now for the things that confused the heck out of me. This story was maybe way too far out there. They rewrote the backstory on Batman and gave Thomas Wayne a supernatural origin which didn't make any sense with any of the canon %26 was cool at first, but then when you watched the entire thing, you are left with more questions than answers. The characters were not developed and then they all died. Why?!?!? This movie is based on the comic which tried too hard with the Lovecraftian theme. But the comic is much weirder and I'm not necessarily saying in a good way. The movie is a bit more tame but not cohesive at all.

The story is not bad. However, the pacing is pretty slow various times throughout. Make sure you watch this after some coffee.
