Battleship Strategy Card Game for Kids and Family Ages 7 and Up, 2 Players

Game itself is fun. We did have some struggles with the power cards and figuring them out but decided to play without them for now and will add those in after we get comfortable with the game. Overall, it was fun and I would recommend it for card game lovers.

Battleship in about 15 min. Whats not to like? We love Monopoly deal, the card game that plays a round of monopoly in 15 min, so thought we would try this. Love Battleship Cards too. It is a bit hard to learn, but well worth it. Instructions are pretty clear, but I suggest u watch the how to play video on Youtube. In some regards the card version of the game is a bit more interesting than the regular game. Instead of the normal 2 to 5 hit to destroy each ship, each ship has a special way to be destroyed. For instance the 3 hit submarines need three white pin/card hits (underwater depth charges I guess). You can also add cards to a ship to shield it (the shield has to be destroyed with more hits, till u go back to hitting the ship itself). This makes the game more fun. We played the first few rounds without the extras, just like the board game. This would work well for kids. Just remove all the non hit or miss cards and just do the regular hit or misses. Then you can added the shield cards and try that, and then also add in the special destroy instruction for each kind of ship. Work you way up to the full game. One of the things the instructions don't suggest is that once a ship is destroyed it is a good idea to gather up all the cards associated with it and put them aside with the ship card on top. This gives more room for other attacks and makes it easy to count your destroyed ships until you kill all 5 ships.

Battleship was always my favorite board game, and Trading Card Games hold a special place in my heart. So when I saw this in the board game section, I couldn't resist picking it up! After playing for the first time, my love and I are hooked! I recommend this for all fans of the classic Battleship game!

This is a great game between me and my 7 year old. We keep going back to this game when we are have our time together just the two of us, dad hasn't gotten into the game with us yet and it is too complex for my 5 and 3 year old. I think we would be more challenged if we really got cut throat about it but my boy just keeps showing me sympathy as his score rockets ahead. I am a big'ole fan of cars games since it is so easy to carry along. Bravo for the imagination to turn 3D connect 4 into a card game
