I really like this bed. It is sturdy and walnut color is nice. I also love the fact it has legs and I can clean dust underneath. I am a female and this was the first time I assembled the piece of furniture (I lied actually I assembled a desk and a chair a year ago). But anyways it was easy to put it together: took me a couple of hours. They forgot to put instructions and I found them online. I would recommend to anyone and buy this bed again. It is definitely a good buy for the money.
Bed is very sturdy and high quality. However, we will need to purchase rubber grips for the legs to keep it from slidding on the hardwood floor.
I love the look of this bed! Putting it together was a challenge though, and in hindsight, I would have done things a little differently (hint: don't tighten screws where the parts were designed to shift/slide for a better fit/alignment). Also, I was disappointed that my mattress didn't "fill" the area of the platform, so you can see the slats below the gaps all around the mattress. I'm planning to hide the gaps with the comforter. All in all, I was impressed with the quality of the wood and the finished look. Lastly, the bed arrives in two boxes, and they arrived on different days so I checked with OJ Commerce and they got back to me right away.
I knew something was going to be bad when I saw the torn box. The headboard and bed frame came separated. I was fine with that. But when my bed frame came in, it came in a torn box. Once I opened it, I saw I had broken pieces. I thought I could buy wood glue a fix it, however, I said I didn't want it to fall apart when I put my mattress on top. Fair warning, buy with caution! Its a shame because this bed was going to be beautiful!
arrived broken, but the company offered us a partial refund to fix it ourselves. Sadly, the bed is flimsy and moves a lot when you hop on it
Love the bed however it came with severe damage.
This bed was so difficult to assemble, the movers would not do it. I had to hire someone to put the bed together. It took two hours and lots of work. It cost me an additional $110. Instructions were multiple pages and hard to follow. The wood looked like pressed board.
Received this, it came in 2 parts. A lot of the parts were damaged! The headboard was way smaller than expected .
I was so excited to get this product because I love the look. This excitement quickly faded once I saw the P65 warning label on one of the pieces which stated that the product contained formaldehyde and pthalate - which can both lead to cancer etc. At first, I thought maybe this is just an exaggeration so I built the bed and slept in it one night. The bed had such terrible off-gassing that I immediately noticed difficulty breathing, sore throat, and watery eyes which can all occur after formaldehyde exposure. The smell was so bad that eventually the fumes spread throughout my entire apartment. I immediately requested a return label and am so excited to get it out of my apartment!! PSA: Look at the product details and scroll to the very bottom, this is where sites put these kinds of toxic warnings - AKA somewhere super discreet. Basically any kind of manufactured wood product contains toxins, so make sure you look out for the warning. I would recommend NOT purchasing this bed, and instead save and invest in solid wood products or at least ones without a P65 warning. It's a shame because I do love the style so much.
THIS IS DISAPPOINTING PRODUCT. headboard is missing! One of headboard panel is cracked and parts don't fit! I'm so fed with Walmart and this is truly a waste of money. The item description is highly inaccurate since I DID NOT get the headboard.
