This is one of the rare K-cup type pods that tastes as good as the best fresh brewed coffee. And the decaf tastes just as good as the high octane version. The pods are made from wood and corn so they are more friendly to the environment than plastic pods. Unlike plastic pods, they never malfunction in the machine or clog the machine.

I'd say the the vast majority of the comments on the quality of this product are right on the money. This blend is much better than what I've become accustomed to in Decafs; so much so, in fact, that I think the taste of this blend rivals their French Roast caffeinated coffee. It is dark, bold, a bit nutty, and generally keeps the flavor of its caffeinated sister. It is a real treat among the decaf blends. The French Roast caffeinated coffee has one advantage when it comes to composting/recycling, however. When done with that pod, the paper top covering the pod is easily removed, leaving a plastic ring that can be recycled and a pod that is biodegradable. Not so with the decaf; I wish SF Bay would use the same method of adhering the cover to the ring as they do with the caffeinated. It requires more effort and is messier when disposing the pod components to the recycle and degradable bins. But, as a tasty coffee . . . it hits the mark.

I am very pleased with the ecaf French roast coffee. I am excited to finally find a Decaf dark roast that does not compromise flavor. I highly recommend this decaf for those who appreciate a dark roast.

I am not a Decaf coffee drinker, per-say but I have my 96 year young Mother-in-law living with us now after Dad passed in July 2021. I took a chance that my favorite coffee company would provide me with a good brew for Mom. OMG, this SF Bay Decaf French Roast Coffee is not good, "IT IS OUTSTANDING," far beyond belief!! She loves it and said that it is the best tasting coffee she has ever had over the past 84 years and then some, because she use-ta sneak a-little as a kid when no one was looking back then. I am an ardent SF Bay Coffee drinker and normally have my 6 to 8 mugs of Fog Chaser, French Roast and other dark roasts every day but now I have added a cup or two of this beautiful full bodied dark roast Decaf French Roast to my daily routine!! It is that "GOOD!"

Good enough for a decaf. We are mostly full-caffeine folks here, but if it is late in the day, a cup of bold decaf is a great way to keep from staying up too late. We had purchased another decaf pod product at the grocery store that was... er... terrible. This definitely fit what we were looking for for flavor.

In my experience, this latest group of SF Bay pods (regular & decaf) are inferior to the prior version. They do not seem to allow the water to pass through uniformly; sometimes it is just fine, at other times it barely drips through and I have to run the same pod again to get the indicated quantity. This never happened with the pods which came in the colored boxes. (I have cleaned my machine; if the pod is not in the machine, the water runs fine; once the pod is in, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

There was a mispick. I ordered DECAF and got Regular Caffeinated Coffee. I am too lazy to return it so we kept it. My first time buying from Walmart...back to Amazon we went! Ordered DECAF/got DECAF! Hence the 2 stars.
