Bayou Classic 16" Double Handled Cast Iron Skillet with Pour Spouts, Black

I wished I had found this beauty earlier in my life. It is perfect for large dishes for a large family. The heating and seasoning were absolutely perfect. People reading this if you ever need to purchase a large pan this is the one!!!

This is a true cast-iron skillet. It is heavy, sturdy, and huge! If those are aspects that you're looking for in a skillet this is your skillet! I can see it being too heavy for some so beware. as for the surface, that was my only downfall. My grandparents had cast iron pots and skillets, and I've never seen a brand new one. The surface had lots of little pockets that my germophobic mine made me feel that I would not be able to clean properly. For that reason I will be returning my pot. But the pot stands up to everything it says it is!

well boxed.. fast ship.. As described.. It is pre seasoned. No flaws that I could see. Inside pan smooth no pock marks or dings. It is heavy.

If you are looking for a HUGE frying pan, this is it. I had a 12 inch but wanted something bigger. I probably should have looked for a 14 inch frying pan. This item is preseasoned. It came extremely well packaged from Overstock and arrived without delay. I am very happy with this purchase.

Make sure that you season and oil the pan before first use. This will make anything and everything you make in it amazing. The first meal was perfect and so flavorful. Everything cooked great and evenly. It also has a great depth making it great for cobblers and casseroles.

I thought I was purchasing a heavy-duty skillet. In my opinion this skillet is thin. I wanted to use it in a high temperature wood fired oven. I have seen similar skillets crack in that kind of heat. returned it to avoid that.
