BBQ Dragon Chimney of Insanity

Great product. Coupled with the BBQ Dragon fan, it just makes it a breeze to light the charcoal. A couple of weekends ago, we had my wife's family visiting and at some point somebody told me something like "cousin XX is arriving in about 40 minutes, we better start lighting up the charcoal". And I said "we still have a half an hour", and though everybody looked at me in disbelief, I sat down and opened another beer. Then 30 minutes later I pulled out my BBQ Dragon and Chimney of Insanity and lit up the charcoal from zero to ready-to-cook in 8-9 minutes without breaking a sweat. Needless to say everybody was impressed and asking where to buy one :-)

A must have for anyone who is charcoal grilling. You won't know what you're missing until you try it and then you're going to wonder how you ever lived without it. Highly recommended!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've use the Chimney of Insanity about almost every weekend since having this awesome charcoal chimney. Literally saying from grill lit up to ready to start cooking in less than 10 minutes. The fan will get your coals ready very quickly, you can just sit around and pull this out right before "GO" time. I would recommend this for any vacation or camping trips. My only caution to any buyer to watch out for rogue embers that might fly up so be careful of surrounding to avoid fires like dry grass regions etc.

The Chimney of Insanity Charcoal Chimney saves my sanity for sure! It couldn't be any easier to use - put crumpled newspapers, twigs, cardboard etc. in the bottom and in the port, fill with briquettes, light and in mere minutes the charcoal is ready. Didn't put enough flammables in? The side port allows you to easily shove in a little more to really get them going. The chimney handle stays cool and is well designed to make dumping the coals into the kettle a breeze. I also use it to get the fire pit started with a mixture of charcoal and twigs - empty the lit items into the bottom of the pit and then lay larger logs on top for a great evening fire. Even my wife uses it! 5 Stars!

It definitely helps heat the coals up faster than just in a pile in the grill. I feel like the heat is even through out the coals compare to how they heat up in a pile. The fire starter even has an easy location to be ignited in the chimney with the added pipe feature on the bottom.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have found this chimney to be extremely convenient for a couple different reasons. I can use it with my small chimney grate to grill smaller items like hotdogs and brats, but it can also be used to get coals started for the bigger grill. I havent used it with fluid, I see no reason too, I just use paper in the hole on the side and light it that way and have had no issues. The hole is a good size to get a good amount in there to the the fire going. It is made out of thick galvanized steel to withstand the heat this thing puts out, and the BBQ Dragon cutout on the side is pretty awesome. The handle is heat resistant and is out pretty far from the chimney and makes it easy to grab on to when pouring the coals in the grill. I do use this with my BBQ Dragon  supercharger fan and the coals really are ready quicker then I have ever seen!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the design of this starter. It is solidly built and designed well. I don't have the fan but it lights my briquettes fast especially if there is a breeze. I believe that with the fan it will be extremely fast.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I never knew how a chimney stacked worked but I have an abundance of apple wood chips that I wanted to to use in the stack with the charcoal. It is AMAZEBO! In fact, Insane! I will use more and recommend to as many as I can. I learned; others can too .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This charcoal chimney is small in diameter but it works great, especially with the Dragon chimney fan. A really nice feature of this chimney is the curved pipe in the lower side, which is just perfect for the Dragon fan. You get a lot of air flow through the pipe, making the charcoal fire up fast. The handle is also a great feature as it doesn't get hot. I've even used this chimney to grill on by adding a grate to it.
