The value here is amazing. Front disc brakes, shock absorbing front shocks. Needed slight adjustments to front and rear derailleurs and front disc. Can get help from you tube. Still a five star bike for the price. I've put about 50 miles in first week mostly on mtn bike trails and some road.
Checks all the boxes for me except for seat which was not too comfortable, maybe it is due to my sciatica. Great value. Speeds shift design is very ingenious and the handles comfortable. Highly recommended especially for the price
I had the bike delivered to my local Walmart. A box with a little mangle but not bad. The bike inside was not damaged at all. I took the bike out of the box and assembly was fairly easy. You have to rotate the yolk for the handlebars 180 degrees because it is put on backwards for shipping purposes. Then attach the handlebars to the yolk, attach the front wheel, attach the front brake cable, loosen the rear wheel and make sure it is centered in the frame. Adjust the front and rear brakes. Adjust the seat to the right height. And adjust the gears if necessary. Took me maybe an hour put the bike together after getting out of the box with basic tools. The bike is very comfortable bike to ride and the tires are aggressive enough for riding off-road but not too aggressive to make it slow down as you Coast on roads. Definitely recommend this bike for the price.
This is a fantastic bike for the price point. I put just under 25 miles on it my first weekend with it. It rides out pretty smooth. The only downfall I have with it is the seat is a bit hard on your butt and the grips tend to slide off a bit.
Since this uses a threadless headset you are limited to the length of the steer tube on the fork. You are not able to raise the stem on this model. So it's way too low for me I'm very disappointed I liked this bike, otherwise for the money id give it a 5 star.
I think this is a great bike for the price, but mine came with a few items that needed to be fixed or adjusted. Two of the 4 cables were functioning, but bent and cracked. And, the gears needed adjusted. Also, a reflector was sitting broken in the box. So... it wasn't perfect, but for under $150, I feel like it was a good deal.
This was the second bike I ordered because the first one was damaged. No protection on the bike so it was scratched and scuffed and the front wheel had bent spokes. This bike arrived in better shape but the forks have damage with chipped paint and the rear wheel is bent and even with better protection there are still scuffs in the paint.
After assembly took it out for a ride and tested it. Frame quality is OK but everything else is cheap. Tires are super thin anything can puncture it. Brake disc came in warped, seat lower plastic frame screws were over torqued it broke the plastic that's factory assembled. I don't recommend it.
The package came to me opened! when I took it to my garage I discovered the assy direction were missing. Halfway through assy we discovered the clamp was missing for the seat. the detailers were not lining up and they were rubbing against the chain. I tried contacting the company that made the bike and even left a message on their site and asked if they could send a instruction manual and the missing clamp. ( I have never had a response from the company). This was a present for someone, so I have taken it to a bike shop and paying an additional $100. for them to finish assembly. This is a compleat breakdown compare to how Walmart uselly takes care of their customers.
The bike came with the seat cylinder inside and jammed, the front disk brake came unbalanced and it was touching the the caliper paint part. I tried to return the bike but I saw there was none in stock. I took it to a bike shop and they fix it , the seat cylinder had to stay inside, but they pot a cut one in. It cost me another 68 dollars to get it fix right.
