Loved this movie.
The Beasts of the Southern Wild is really a different tale. I enjoyed it tremendously. It is unlike the 95% of all the movies out there that are simply a rehash of some other movie plot. I rented it first, watched it twice, bought it and now am sharing it with friends and family.

Awesome movie!!!
This is one of the better movies I've seen in awhile. It is very thought provoking. I paid to see it in the theatres twice and attended a discussion group they held regarding it at our local art gallery. It leaves you to draw your own conclusions; hence, the reason why I went back to see it again. I am looking forward to sharing this DVD with others to get their view on it. :) The little girl is absolutely adorable.

Little girl...big role!
For her first acting "job", she and her father carried off this challenging story with amazing skill. The directing, photography, and overall presentation was the best!

SLEEPER (N0T GIVEN THE CREDIT IT DESERVES)
I only heard about this movie when the little girl was interviewed on a talk show because of her oscar nomination. She was exceptional in the film. Many might find the father's treatment harsh but he loved her and only tried to protect her, the best he knew how. This is truly what is known as a sleeper.

Hmmm...
I heard so much about the movie during the Oscars, so wanted to purchase it because you could not see in the movies by the time you heard about it. It was okay. The little girl was excellent, but I did not find the movie to be that great. After reading the other reviews, I agree it does make you draw your own conclusions, but still not too sure what conclusions. Maybe I need to look at it again to see if I missed something. The little girl was excellent, so I don't regret my purchase and would love to share it with friends and family to get their input.
