These had a great flavor, not tough even when cooked well done. No wet dog smell from left overs! I’m one of the few people that notices this wet dog thing from cooked meat, but it’s real I swear and it drives me crazy.
Nice, thick cuts of tender, tasty, meaty-tasting meat! I got very little to zero fat or gristle. I dunno where the bad reviews come from cos I'm very picky! Let the steaks sit out a bit until near room temp and sprinkle with whatever spice you like. (I used a garlic grilling spice mix.) Cook as you like - but I fried mine on medium heat in a pan with lots of butter, about 5-6 min. each side for medium rare. Let it rest 5 min. before you eat. YUM!!!
I hate stir-fry meat as it tends to be chewy, grisly and just disgusting-like chewing a beef flavored paper wad you end up swallowing, or like me, spitting out. I usually buy reserve steak from another store but I have opted for Wal-Mart delivery for a couple different reasons. I have been on a stir-fry kick the last 2-3 months and decided to go ahead and try these steaks. I put them in an 8” stainless steel fry pan with the lid on and place them in the oven for 2-3 hours to get them juicy and very tender. When they are done, I let them rest and then slice them up myself and go ahead with the stir-fry and it makes for a very enjoyable experience. Since it doesn’t take much meat for a single stir-fry dish, I do not feel bad about buying these because I can stretch them out and everyone loves the stir-fry (including me), so I know I am doing it right!
I love the taste but not the waste. So much gristle and fat to cut out before cooking, you lose at least a quarter of the weight you paid for. Much to expensive for that.
Tough even after marinated for 24 hours… stop putting so much dye in the meat yall! And it’s how much a pound??
HORRIBLE...all grissle. it is like cutting rubber. Very poor quality meat. These are not center cut pieces. disgusting! It is not even 1 star. Everybite is like rubber.
I was very disappointed there was NO substitute for the sirloin steak and no call. Dinner is usually planned around the meat. Valentines day dinner will be hamburger. :-(
i have purchased these in the past and they havw alwyas been great. i opened rhe package and almost threw up. the meat was spoiled. i jist bought them the day before
PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! This was the worst steak I have ever “TRIDE” to eat. It was so tough I couldn't even cut it with a very sharp knife. It had no flavor it was like rubber I could not chew it. I do believe an old rubber tire would have more flavor than this steak. I had to throw it away. Thankfully I had a bake potato so I did have that to eat. I will never purchase meat from Walmart again.
my steaks went on sale but paid full price. reg. price 19.99 and sale price 9.44 but I paid full price.
