These Angus tri-tip steaks were absolutely fantastic. The package came with three large, high-quality cuts, and they cooked up beautifully. I prepared them medium with butter and herbs, and they turned out incredibly tende. Great flavor, great value, and definitely something I'll be buying again.
It's one of the best tasting steaks I've ever had . It almost has kind of a roast flavor and steak together. it was on sale today with the prices of food almost double of what you got for the same amount of money as a year ago . bHojd solid value . If you never tried a tri tip before you should try one . I pan fried mine med high heat four to five mins a side nice seat let it rest for four mins . Absolutely marvelous tender juicy flavorful .
These are great when cooked in instant pot. They can be either pressure cooked or slow cooked. The texture will be different depending on which way you cook them. I pressure cooked them, and they came out with an excellent texture and taste. I ate some of them as a meal with potatoes and veggies. Then I refrigerated some, and used them as high protein snack. They are a very convenient size, and I appreciated the convenience of being able to cook them in different ways. You can serve them with barbecue sauce, although I found my favorite, was just to salt and pepper them before cooking, and eat them plain. I prefer these actually over a roast, I think the flavor is better. Also, when you cook them in an instant pot, they will yield a great beef juice that you can use as a base for gravy, or as the beginning of the liquid for cooking lentils. Tasted terrific! Also more affordable than almost any other kind of beef right now.
I held my breath when I ordered this item because of the cost . (I've purchased sliced tri tip at other stores in the past. Horrible! Slices were to thin and lots of fat.) Wow, I received my sliced tri tip from Walmart and the slices were thick with just enough fat for a juicy, perfect bite. I will definitely buy this item again. I had enough meat for 3 good meals and a few tacos, so can't wait.
i have brought the more expensive packs of steak meat plenty of times .but when my husband bbqs this particular set apparently it has a lot more flavor. my 15 yr old was pretending to like steak for his dad but when he cooks this 1 he doesn't have to pretend. he says its full of flavor. and my husband says easier to marinade.
These strips of steak are fantastic for grilling. I leave them in the freezer until I'm ready, and then I put them straight on the grill. Once on the grill, I season them thoroughly on the top side, then when I turned them over I season them on the other side. You can keep turning and seasoning into your taste. I suggest preheating your grill to 450 and then turning it down to about 375 for 25 minutes. You can just cut a piece off to test, and I'll guarantee you you'll love the results.
I like the tri tip strips, they're good for tacos or cut tips on rice. I've ordered them a number of times and the quality has been consistently good. The price is good for tri tip and strips makes it more affordable as opposed to buying a whole roast cut.
Normally when I pan fry Medium Rare on Cast iron frying pan, it is flavorful and tender. This time it was not flavorful and even though it was pink medium rare, it was not tender. I think it was an imposter with Angus Beef sticker on its package. I felt cheated and disappointed 😥 this time.
I ordered this to make steak sandwiches for my family; it was the worst looking meat I ever saw! Fat slices of meat filled with veins and fat...I called and complained and got my money back. I have bought tri-tip beef from many stores and have NEVER got anything like what I received from your store.
your meat is full of grease it's full of bat okay I could set one of your steaks into my fry pan wait a few minutes while it's cooking and when I go to look at it after 15 or 20 minutes the steak is absolutely submerged in Greece okay and plus you guys have been sending me meat that is almost expired so I will not be ordering any more meat from your company okay just for my own family safety and health concerns
