This is one of my favorite less expensive steaks. It has plenty of good, healthy animal fat. Spread the news! Animal fat is not bad for you! Unfortunately, they featured this steak on the Kelly and Mark show so now the price will probably go up as people will be rushing to buy it.
These are a great option when you want to add beef to your weekly menu %26 much more affordable than the extremely expensive cuts of steak, such as NY Strip or ribeyes. I am so glad I took a chance on them long ago, whether pan seared or grilled, they always turn out great! I normally tenderize, season %26 marinate before cooking %26 they have never failed to turn out great.
This is the best steak I have ever had! Beats steak houses hands down. I just ordered 3 more! It's always hard to find because they can't keep it stocked. I simply cannot say enough about this cut of meat and quality. Treat yourself! I will take the Chuck Eye over a filet or rib eye any day!
I love steak so it's hard to spend the money for steaks. They are so expensive nowadays. I had a craving for a steak, so I bought these Chuck Eye Beef Steaks that came 2 in a pack. After seasoning for a while, I plopped the butter in the skillet and seared them. They were very very tasty. It had the right amount of fat on the steak. It could have been a little thicker, but it was a perfect meal for 2.
I read to cook this cut of steak at extremely high heat and it it breaks down though collagen tissue. I did just that I cooked them three minutes on each side in butter and garlic and boy were they delicious and medium rare.
I usually don't consume beef. My doctor's want me to eat much more food protein, due to a bad cancer to gain weight and strength for treatments. Chicken is my go to with occasional tilapia and albacore tuna. Except I'm getting really tired of my choices. Due to the high cost of beef, I needed to find a cut I could afford. This nicely cut Chuck Eye was good, just enough fat for flavoring. It looked like it was just butchered that day. It was done two days before. I cooked it in the oven on foil, seasoned and lightly sprayed with pure avocado oil. If I had a choice of a beef cut I would have had a nice ribeye. Not being possible, I had an excellent fresh tender steak cut with a salad and asparagus. I've already reorded another Chuck Eye steak pack.
Poor cut I would not buy again too much fat even after removing snot and searing both Sid's for a nice medium and sprinkling some kindred steak seasoning I didn't enjoy it much a disappointment
I have ordered this twice and it's been all fat, barely edible. looks nothing like the photo. maybe the shoppers have picked the worst one but I wouldn't buy this unless you are in store and can choose a better cut, otherwise you are just paying for fat son it isn't cost effective at all.
last time for these so called chuck steaks. obviously lab meat, stringy, mushy, no taste, and online price is deceiving as when recriced was almost twice as much. alsa, thebtimevi recd rib eye, same thing. shame on you, again!! WM you're on the way out, no wonder your owners are billionaires ! i will not be payingbthe annual fee. goodbye
this is the smallest chuck ever. very fatty and not in a good way. i recommend slow cooking it for at least six hours and heavily season this thing. The only way it was semi tasty was to shred after it is cooked, add BBQ sauce and serve on buns. But this is only if you HAVE to buyit. I don't recommend at all.
