I used this to make a batch of Beef Stroganoff using the old Betty Crocker Cookbook recipe from the 1980s editions. I really liked the quality of this beef, along with the pre-slicing into thin strips, so I only had to do 50% of the usual slicing to prepare it for cooking. I had been buying a more expensive cut of Top Sirloin or Top Round for this, but I'll buy this from now on. The beef was tender and my wife and guests really enjoyed our meal!!
I love serving this delicious steak to my dog that I mix with chicken. She won't eat her chicken if there is no steak to go with it. May I had that she is very picky. I never give my dog what I don't eat myself. I don't trust all those dog foods on the market.
Marbled well like a poor mans rib-eye. Eat with rice and a torilla and your basically saving yourself 30 dollars that you'd spend at high end Mex Restraunts. You have to seer the meat to lock in the flavor, Since you cannot cook these to medium or more bloody, you essentially want to get a nice well cooked outer grizzle and they will give the USDA prime beef a run for its money.
Only reason I gave it three stars on the flat is because I would like to have more, but otherwise the item is really fresh and good product for package meat and I wish that the prizes were a little lower for me but other than that it's excellent. This is the second time, nothing but fat, I paid 8.00 for fat, Walmart you need to fire your meat department, obviously they dont give a crap what they are packaging or its you as a store, that dont care Look at the meat I got vs the fat, shame on you Walmart!
I ordered a sirloin steak that was supposed to be 1/2 inch thick and what I got was a potato chip thin steak. What I should have gotten was a top of the line sirloin steak or bottom roast. I will not use your online grocery shopping anymore because I was overcharged about $6.50 for a lesser quality and value for steak.
This meat ruined my supper. i made Philly cheesesteak sandwiches, and the meat was so tough it was inedible. It must have come from a very old bull. I had planned Beef %26 Broccoli with the second package, but that's not happening now. I put in for a refund %26 they want it taken to the store even though the meat was in my very first Walmart home delivery. I can't wait to see their eyes when I take out a baggie of cooked meat with onions, peppers %26 cheese!
Walmart shoppers notoriously send us the items that are at their best-by date. It happens all the time with bakery items, fruit and vegetables. They sent us sirloin tip that needed to be used that day. I went to use it two days later and it smelled bad.
these were such tough pieces of meat. tough "chew and chew and chew" meat. so disappointing as i was using it in a korean beef recipe that I've made many times and so looking forward to sharing with someone new. Instead we all ended up eating around the meat. well not boy this again. big waste of money😒
This meat, which is very expensive per pound, came with a huge section of fat and gristle right down the middle of each slice. I would estimate that this represented about 1/5 of the total weight. Shoppers need to be trained on how to select meat. this meat is supposed to be lean, not loaded with this much fat.
