I used this to make a batch of Beef Stroganoff using the old Betty Crocker Cookbook recipe from the 1980s editions. I really liked the quality of this beef, along with the pre-slicing into thin strips, so I only had to do 50% of the usual slicing to prepare it for cooking. I had been buying a more expensive cut of Top Sirloin or Top Round for this, but I'll buy this from now on. The beef was tender and my wife and guests really enjoyed our meal!!
I love serving this delicious steak to my dog that I mix with chicken. She won't eat her chicken if there is no steak to go with it. May I had that she is very picky. I never give my dog what I don't eat myself. I don't trust all those dog foods on the market.
They have stopped slicing it nice and thin. This was way thicker than they used to slice it. We were very disappointed in it. I'm hoping it was just a mistake and they go back to the nice thin slices. The thicker this meat is the tougher it is. This was no good for my intended use.
This is the second time, nothing but fat, I paid 8.00 for fat, Walmart you need to fire your meat department, obviously they dont give a crap what they are packaging or its you as a store, that dont care Look at the meat I got vs the fat, shame on you Walmart!
these were such tough pieces of meat. tough "chew and chew and chew" meat. so disappointing as i was using it in a korean beef recipe that I've made many times and so looking forward to sharing with someone new. Instead we all ended up eating around the meat. well not boy this again. big waste of money😒
this meat was full of fat and gristley. very tough, and the package weight didn't match the actual weight. charged for over a pound and there was less than a pound of beef in the package. I'm pretty sure they weigh it in the package with the absorbant pad and wrap counting towards the cost of the weight.
Ordered sirloin steak that expired the next days after I got order. There was a lb and a half of meat and I had ordered multiple other meats. Its the fourth order in a row that has had issues with the meat or produce items. If I order a live rosemary plant it shouldn't be so dried up that I can't salvage one sprig of fresh rosemary from the plant. If I can't rely on getting fresh quality meats and fresh produce that I'm going to have to carry into my house myself than I might as well get my meat and fresh produce at Homeland and Aldi's where I can at least get food that is fresh enough to last more than two days of my delivery. I was also told that I needed to see and accept or reject substitutions immediately as soon as the text message is sent. If that's the case there is no reason for me to have Walmart plus cause I can't be setting on the phone every second that the shopper is getting my stuff cause I don't get notified about the substitutions until they are usually the last items on my list which gives me like 30 seconds to accept or reject the substitutions and read and accept or reject the substitutions. Since other grocery stores are now doing the shopping and they have fresher and better meats and fresh produce there isn't such a need for me to get so much of my stuff at Walmart. If other customers are getting the same trash that I've been getting for the last several months there are a lot of customers that are going to shop at other stores than Walmart. I can't believe that my orders are the only ones that are messed up. The same shopper that is getting my groceries is getting the same crappy groceries for all their other customers for the day. You may as well fire them cause more able bodied people than me will go to other stores if they can't get good produce and meat at Walmart and have to go and do their own shopping at the other stores. It's getting ridiculous how much money I'm wasting shopping on Walmart plus now. When the shopper can't tell the difference between fresh red beets and white turnips there is something wrong with the system. I'm just about ready to cancel my Walmart plus and I've been a loyal Walmart customer for 50 years. Started shopping at the first Walmart stores when Sam Walton first started so if I'm getting tired of the poor quality then I can understand the number of people that I know who hate Walmart and refuse to shop at Walmart and I can defend against their reactions.
This meat ruined my supper. i made Philly cheesesteak sandwiches, and the meat was so tough it was inedible. It must have come from a very old bull. I had planned Beef %26 Broccoli with the second package, but that's not happening now. I put in for a refund %26 they want it taken to the store even though the meat was in my very first Walmart home delivery. I can't wait to see their eyes when I take out a baggie of cooked meat with onions, peppers %26 cheese!
This meat, which is very expensive per pound, came with a huge section of fat and gristle right down the middle of each slice. I would estimate that this represented about 1/5 of the total weight. Shoppers need to be trained on how to select meat. this meat is supposed to be lean, not loaded with this much fat.
I ordered a sirloin steak that was supposed to be 1/2 inch thick and what I got was a potato chip thin steak. What I should have gotten was a top of the line sirloin steak or bottom roast. I will not use your online grocery shopping anymore because I was overcharged about $6.50 for a lesser quality and value for steak.
