the bread slices are a nice size for sandwiches, and the texture is very good. it works well in the toaster, oven and for grilled cheese sandwiches . I only wish you got more for the same price. oh, and i like that it is a tasty rhy bread without seeds.
This is a great bread to get for sandwiches. I add a burger and cheese for a patty melt. They work great in the toaster or grilling in a pan. I prefer not to have the seeds in the bread. they stick in my teeth. I love the taste, but appreciate no seeds.
Collectively, my husband and I have been eating this bread basically since we were kids. It's unfortunate that NOBODY down here in the state of Florida sells it. So we have to wait until I or we visit New York in order for it to get it shipped to us. Also tried ordering it online with no success.
When my endocrinologist told me that rye is the only kind of bread I should eat, I tried every rye bread I could find in the store, and none of them taste as good as this Beefsteak Rye! It has just the right balance of rye and other flour, and the soft texture makes it perfect for sandwiches, whether right from the bag or toasted--and it makes the best breakfast toast!
I got this as a "substitution" for the brand I'm more familiar with and it was great! It is very soft and makes wonderful toast and sandwiches. I also love the rather large size of all the slices. The other brand I get usually has some very small slices towards the front of the package, but these all seemed roughly the same size.
I love rye bread and this brand goes above and beyond greatness. Soft and delicious. Excellent for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Great for and cold cut meats with mayo or mustard sandwiches. Only the best grilled cheese sandwiches. spread butter on both outside top and bottom and use your favorite cheese then place into a hot skillet once browned on the downside flip and brown the other side and grab a bag of potato chips and its movie night! If you want some zing and tang to it which is awesome instead of butter use mayo and no butter. So awesome!!!
I like the thin slices of this bread because I am eating relatively low carb. I use one slice for a sandwich because the bread is so wide, and it's so tasty. I love ham or corned beef with mustard on this rye bread, and we like that there are no seeds in it. It makes good toast, and I even eat it with peanut butter once in a while. Enjoy!
I've tried many brands of soft rye, but Beefsteak No Seeds is my favorite. It is soft, even the crust isn't dry or hard. Soft through and through. The flavor is mild and doesn't detract from what you put on it. Yet, tasteful enough to compliment pastrami on rye. And, it fits into my budget. So it's a win-win for me!
We were very disappointed. Our order contained several more items which were , somehow , erased from what was received by the store. Only the bread showed up on the received order form. Also, the order form said if I accepted a 6-9 pm delivery there would be no cost for delivery. Adding insult to injury, I was charged $9 for delivery for a $3 loaf of bread. The delivery charge was given back to me as a credit. Not a good first time experience.
this was a substitute for Walmart rye. the WalMart rye has great rye taste, this Beefsteak rye had had no taste at all. not even mild rye flavor-this is a poor excuse for rye bread! also, the slices are smaller, and it costs about $1.20 more!! total rip off. will not purchase this flavorless bread again!!!!
