Beefsteak Seeded Hearty Rye Bread, 18 oz, Rye Bread, Bag

I actually did a review about buying this bread on Facebook. I was so tickled I could finally buy a loaf where I live. I used to buy it when I lived near the Chicago area and when I live down South, but on the West Coast? Nothin' doin'. I haven't had Beefsteak Rye in somewhere around 20 years as thee\y also discontinued it where I lived down South and I was really craving it. I got the seeded. I am using it and in total disbelief like a bucket list item appeared but is no longer available here anymore. It arrived in an appropriately sized box and was unharmed. A true answer to a prayer. Beefsteak is the best bread ever made except Schlotsky's Jalapeno sourdough bread. I was willing to pay 15 dollars just to have one loaf of Beefsteak Rye. It truly is that good. There is nothing that comes close except Russian Rye, which they also do not sell anymore. If you get a chance, but you have to splurge to get Beefsteak, splurge! You're welcome.

I love the oversized slices of bread- especially when making grilled cheese sandwiches or egg salad sandwiches- but they they dont fit well in standard toaster! I purchased a slimeline toaster that fits fits ANY size. bread, or 2 2 slices in a row, bagels, muffins whatever- they all fit, so convenient and takes up less counter space...so WIN/WIN !!

I'm telling you right now rye bread, rye toast with a little bit of real butter on it when you're not feeling well instead of just eating crackers a piece of rye toast is very good. I eat a lot of rye toast when I am sick. I just lightly toasted with a very little bit of butter or no butter and I love it. Everybody doesn't like Rye, but I'm one of the person that does a lot make right and I like it. Rye is also good for the patty melts. Extremely good.

Tough choice between the slightly better tasting and the heartier flavor of Pepperidge Farms. But what I'm really liking is the larger uniform sandwich slices of this bread and the lower price for the better value. Makes a mean PB%26J too.

For me, it's either Beefsteak Seeded Hearty Rye Bread or no rye bread at all. Great taste, great texture. My two favorite ways to enjoy this delightful bread: Toasted, buttered and covered with chicken salad; just toasted and buttered.

Love this bread. But it really could use more seeds. And if you really wanna kill the competition, add salt to that crust and you'll have people fighting for your bread like a 70”, $4.95 color tv on Black Friday

The caraway seeds are the best part!! The only reason I didn't gove a 5-star rating is because the loaves are too small--I ALWAYS run out before I'm ready to!

I asked for I asked for seedless rye bread, and I received seeded rye bread

Today's date is May 28, 2026. The bread was delivered but was dated May 21, 2026. Seven days outdated and molded all along one side. Not a happy camper!
