This particular product was fine. The original preorder never shipped so I had to cancel and reorder which shipped same day. For some reason the preorders were not being updated.
The Film: Tim Burton returns to the Netherworld over three decades later, reuniting Michael Keaton as the titular "bio-exorcist," alongside Winona Ryder (Lydia Deetz) and Catherine O'Hara (Delia Deetz), and introducing Jenna Ortega as Lydia's daughter, Astrid. Following an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family are drawn back to Winter River where Astrid accidentally unleashes Beetlejuice once more. The film delivers the classic Burton aesthetic, emphasizing practical effects, striking production design, and a mix of dark fantasy and macabre humor. Picture Quality (Video): This 4K Ultra HD presentation, sourced from a native 4K Digital Intermediate (DI), is a reference-grade transfer. Utilizing Dolby Vision/HDR10, the image boasts stunning clarity, capturing the minute detail in the makeup, puppetry, and stop-motion effects. The HDR grade excels in realizing Burton's striking color palette, giving exceptional depth to the lush greens of Winter River and the neon, stylized chaos of the Afterlife. Black levels are consistently deep, ensuring fantastic shadow detail throughout the presentation. Audio (Sound): Warner Bros. delivers a potent Dolby Atmos track that fully utilizes the expanded soundstage. The mix is muscular and atmospheric, enveloping the listener during high-impact sequences like transitions to the Netherworld and the film's signature musical numbers. Dialogue remains clear and perfectly anchored amidst Danny Elfman's score, while the use of height channels enhances the verticality of the otherworldly environments. Verdict: The Beetlejuice Beetlejuice 4K Steelbook is an outstanding package that demands a spot in any collector's library. The A/V presentation is flawless, offering a visually spectacular native 4K transfer with Dolby Vision and a high-impact Dolby Atmos soundtrack. Coupled with a strong collection of supplements—including a commentary track and seven featurettes detailing the film's production and effects—this release comes highly recommended.
The movie was pretty good I thought. The underuse of beetles juices wife and her walking around the whole movie was basically the worst part of it for me. That and Winona Ryder basically playing Joyce instead of Lydia lol. My wife and kids really liked it though and I have the full slip for the steelbook already so when it went on sale I jumped on it. The slip was made by blockbusterboxsets just fiy. The steelbook is absolutely awesome and quite sturdy. I was surprised it was shipped with another movie I ordered in one of those sticky cardboard envelopes. While I usually hate this shipping method bc shipping in a box cost no different, this arrived in perfect condition. I realize having to order these online can be hit and miss but so far I haven't had much of an issue getting them off Walmart. I would also recommend buying from pleaserewind as well bc they ship in boxes. The artwork looks nice and there's some nice art on the inside. This is the combo pack so you get two discs and digital code. It comes in a nice slip cover as well with the big man on front and Lydia on the back so I guess you can switch back and forth.
The BluRay arrived in excellent condition. It arrived exactly how it's depicted in the photo and description listing, on the Walmart site. The entire transaction was incredibly satisfying. Thank you so much!
Says delivered but nothing and I even waited 2 days just incase it showed up . Nothing on my home camera being delivered . FedEx is terrible they leave there back door open packages fall out I've seen that my self and took ppl there packages . Walmart needs to use usp instead .. I gave 4 stars bc customer service gave me a refund so I could repurchase and do pickup .
Michael Keaton makes a great performance! Sadly my package was very damaged. I'm glad it came with slip cover because without it, the steel case would fall apart.
The movie itself is great but I had to cancel my preorder and order a new copy after release because my preorder was delayed. I waited a week; ordered a new copy and got it in two.
Horrible way to ship. Ordered two items, and They came in different packages. a steelbook and overgrips. One of them was shipped on a nice sturdy box, unfortunately it wasn't my steelbook. To my surprise my steelbook was shipped on an envelope, and they didn't even bother to add bubble wrap. Like overgrips even need to be sent with protection.
arrived damaged and dented customer support wouldn't do anything about it..i'm very sad and disappointed everytime i order a steelbook from walmart it's sent in a super thin cardboard slip and is always damaged
I can't give an honest review on the Beetlejuice purchase until it arrives. But, it's not looking good so far because I just received a notification that delivery is now delayed.
