I've been looking for replacement steel watering can for years. Everyone tried to sell me a plastic one, or the steel ones were out of my price range. I stumbled onto this one online and it's PERFECT. Arrived quickly and I very pleased with this one.
This can will stand up to a 50 pound boxer pup.Yes, in no time flat she will chew thru a plastic can and make it unusable! The can was larger than most and it is well balanced with both handles. Appears to be durable but only time will tell. Ours was a bargain compared to other prices on the web. Ours was $28.59 with shipping included; you can't get that at Wlmt.
Exactly what I was looking for in a watering can, after searching for a long time. No plastic, nice integrated watering "rose" with no leaks. The curved wooden handle fits nicely in the hand. There's even a design feature in the bottom of the can, a raised circle that looks like it's meant to prevent bulging out of the bottom, as so often happens with metal watering cans. Minnesota company, manufactured in Mexico.
Happy to receive a nice quality 2 gallon watering can. The galvanized metal appears to be capable of producing years of service in my garden. Only possible vulnerability maybe the plastic comfort grip on the handle. I am not really too concerned about this falling victim to the elements.
This galvanized sprinkling can doesn't look or feel any different from the one I used to lug around when I was a little girl. Well made - fine comfortable wood handle. Wish I needed another one but I don't. You won't find a better watering can than this!
City water can be an issue when watering indoor plants. So I use galvanized watering cans. Fill them with tap water and allow the city/tap water to sit for at least 24 hrs. The metals and air outside tend to remove additives in municipal water.
Good quality and works as planned.
Be advised that the spinkler is permanently secured to the can and does not unscrew .
I'm using this to spread solvent on a 1100 sq ft shop floor. Works great and impervious to strong solvents. Was delivered in just a couple days.
Functional Im sure, but looks and feels cheep. The rose is difficult to screw on and off, the spout leaks and the finish is generally rough. Cheep knock off marketed as a quality , traditional watering can. Don't spend the money, buy a plastic one.
