We've really loved using our air fryer. It actually does what they say it does! It's made cooking at home fun again. We leave it right on the counter and when we run into a roadblock for what to have for a meal, we come up with something to put in the fryer. The only reason I gave it 4 stars for design was because I wish the basket was a bit bigger to cook more at once. But we cook in batches and put it in the oven to keep the food warm. I was a bit skeptical at first but for health reasons I wanted to try this. We were pleasantly surprised. So far, this has been a quality product.
I love my fried food, so I was skeptical about this, but I couldn't be happier with it. I've cooked bacon with basically no mess at all (put a piece of bread under the basket and it soaks up all the grease), I've done chicken breasts, frozen breaded chicken strips, french fries,and grilled ham/cheese. All turned out great, super easy clean up, no mess, no oil. Awesome. Did a steak, it was overcooked, but that was my fault for leaving it in too long. My only complaint is I wish the timer had a louder or continuous ding/buzzer. Hard to hear unless I'm in the kitchen when it goes off. Other than that, I love this thing and highly recommend it!
The 'Duo-Plus' is used EVERY day at my house, and we have gone back to cooking at home, instead of going out every night. We were a little scared to use a 'pressure cooker', but after the first time, and the Simplicity of use, it's versatility makes it a breeze to use every night. Want to give a 'shout Out' to the customer service people who helped work us thru an issue. First class !! Many thanks, Mike
This product has more than met my expectations. I love it......plus Instant Pot customer service staff were very helpful and professional in helping me consider the pros and cons of the product. My addiction is fried food which I need to avoid because of heart disease in my family. The Air Fryer Oven now has allowed me to enjoy some of my favorite fried foods.
This product makes pressure cooking extremely easy. It also serves as a slow cooker and can be used simply as a pot you would otherwise use on the stove, which saves burner space when cooking multiple dishes at once. It's easy to clean and is fairly simple to use once you get the hang of the functions of the various parts and controls. I did have a problem with my unit which was very promptly and efficiently corrected by customer service. I was very impressed with the courteous and professional performance of the company's representatives. We try to keep our counter surfaces clear, but because we use this product so often it has never left the counter top.
This is my second instant pot. I traded up to get the sous vede feature. I like the improved pressure release button. So far I haven't been able to find much in the way of detailed information. I would like to see more detailed instructions rather than always looking on google.
I've had one for almost 3 years and the company never answered my inquiry about the problem with the sound. I know how to turn it off and on, but there's only a tiny squeak once in a while, certainly not enough to use as an alert or even hear when the fan is running. Tired of standing there watching the display each time, I decided to buy another and keep the defective one for an emergency. The new one came today and is just as bad as the first, so it's getting returned. It would be perfect if it just would beep audibly so I didn't have to waste time watching it. I would only recommend this to a person who doesn't need to hear it.
I really wanted to love this. The 1st one I purchased was defective out of the Box. After several emails can waiting on the phone for over 3 hours i was finally sent a replacement. After using it several times I noticed that when you are cooking frozen foods, there is an excessive amount of steam that comes out of the top of the door. This game goes up into the control panel and renders the buttons inoperable. As of right now I have sent to he nails to the company and have not heard back in the past week and a 1/2. I'm very reluctant to get on the phone for another 3 hours but it seems like that's going to be my only option. Again I would really love this product if it worked as it was supposed to.
I am very disappointed in the Customer Service that I will not purchase another Instant Pot brand unit in the future. I had purchased a 3 qt ultra mini and within 6 months it stopped working. I contacted Instant Pot to file a warranty claim and after a quick exchange of photos and information, they indicated they would provide a replacement base unit. They indicated at the time that the base units were back ordered and that it would take a few weeks. After several weeks I contacted Instant Pot regarding the status and they indicated they would just send me a new unit altogether since the bases were still delayed. I received an email confirmation indicating a new order had been created and that I would receive an email when the order shipped. A week or so went by and no email so I reached out to Instant Pot again for a status update. They replied they would look into it and get back to me. Fast forward to today, Instant Pot have stopped responding to my status inquiries. It's been almost 2 months now since I initially reached out to file the warranty claim. This is unacceptable that it is taking so long and that I am no longer getting any responses back. No one answers when I call either. This is the Holiday season where I could really use the Instant Pot but am unable to do so unless I go out and buy a new unit. Very disappointed with the customer service. I'm not sure what to do next besides filing claims with the Consumer Affairs and Better Business Bureau. I'm stumped.
If I could give this ZERO STARS, I would!! I got my first Vortex Plus as a Christmas gift. After faulty bottoms, IB sent me a replacement. The second Vortex Plus had the EXACT same problems as the first. The buttons work when they want to. Sometimes I couldn't even stop the air fry function without completely unplugging the device as the 'cancel' button wouldn't work at all. I have sent multiple emails to IB with no response. I will never purchase another air fryer from IB!
