I use these cheese pearls in garden rotini pasta salad and it makes a delicious addition, a long with sliced pepperoni, sliced grape tomatoes, sliced cucumbers, chopped green and red peppers and sliced black olives. Mix with zesty Italian dressing, salt and pepper. My family loves it.
I use the pearls in a lunch/dinner salad I pre-prep for the week. Their firm texture holds up to a mix of chickpeas, black beans, and fresh veggies in vinagrette. Also, these taste so good it's' hard not to sneak a few when adding to a charcuterie board. A bit price-y, perhaps, as they're not as versatile as sliced mozz, but I love them!
I've put them in a shallow baking dish with Rao's sauce, heated them in the oven (350-375 degrees) until melted %26 served with crusty french bread for a great appetiser - That one has been requested again at "Sisters' Lunch", Another time, I tossed them in a salad with spinach %26 cheese ravioli, black olives, celery, sliced boiled eggs %26 a balsamic dressing, that was also really flavorful. You can just pop them like candy, they're the perfact size for snacking
This is one of our go to snacks, liked by kids and adults alike. We add these to charcuterie boards, in kids lunch boxes, on salads and more. Drizzle with quality olive oil and salt for an extra touch. Once opened we wrap in plastic, in a bag or storage container and use within a week for best quality.
This came as the substitution for the whole mozzarella ball I normally buy and all be it a couple of dollars more, they were actually quite delicious. I would order this again instead. The whole ball you have to eat within a day of opening otherwise they become tasteless and watery. These tasted great and they lasted for days.
We have to eat a lower-sodium diet and these little gems are one of the few cheeses we can use in moderation without failing to meet our goals. I press them to add to sandwichs, put them on mini bagels with no-salt tomato sauce/salt-free Italian seasoning, some onion %26 peppers and toast them in a small counter over. SO GOOD.
This is a well-known brand for various Italian cheeses. I purchased this to try out an "Italian Orzo Salad," a pasta side dish from the amandahaascooks.com/italian-orzo-salad/ website whose recipe looked interesting online. These mozarella balls can be cut in halves or quarters and also can beused in caprese salad. It occurred to me later that one probably could also slice Kraft mozarella sticks to create small wheels of mozarella for perhaps firmer cheese pieces as a somewhat less expensive option. I tend to toss in other items into salads--Great Value cut Iitalian green beans are a favorite of mine (as are artichoke hearts or sliced canned beets--pick whatever appeals to you that goes well with cheese. I admit that in lieu of Italian dressing, I prefer the relatively milder Newman's Own Balsamic Vinegar salad dressing. I also may toss in fruit like strawberries or freestone peaches (cut up rinsed canned Del Monte slices), which go well with the balsamic dressing with or without the pasta--just because I enjoy fruit and cheese together, perhaps on a bed of lettuce or in mixed greens. There are lots of choices to go with this small round cheese, just for the fun of it . A little ham or chicken would also be a nice additional choice to enlarge the meal for a filling dinner salad.
Pearls are great for small serving toppers, snacks, stuffing in chicken with sauce or gravy and my favorite salads! I make sliced Roma tomatoes and Pearls Italian Salad. Dice six large Roma's, one package of pearls, chopped or dried basil 1/2 teasp, 1/2 teasp oregano, 2- Tabelspoons extra virgin Olive oil and 2- Tablespoons of balsamic vinager. Mix, chill and enjoy. From Mammo's House ❤️
I use these little mozzarella ball in my pasta salad and everyone always love them. My daughter adds them in with her lunch for a small snack. We have also used them to make homemade air dried cheese balls. And we have used the to make stuffed meatballs! 10/10!
Twenty of these little pearls are a serving and still it doesn't add up to a carb. I like to microwave just a touch to melt them a little. The small pearls make for easy snacking or perfect placement when melting into a dish.
