BelGioioso Fresh Mozzarella Log, Pre-Sliced Specialty Cheese, 16 oz Refrigerated Plastic Packet

IMO, speaking as an Italian, this is one of the best mozzarella cheese. Real mozzarella is supposed to be white, not yellow. It is expensive, but if you can afford it, even sometimes, it is worth it.

make mozz yourself if you have the time or the gumption, but when you don't-this is so freaking good! with some fresh tomato, a sprinkle of salt, maybe a little high quality EVOO, some balsamic vinegar. its the best snack. plus its amazing in place of the shredded mozzarella for your pizzas and pastas. delicioso!

I like the fact that it's fresh. no extra ingredients. nothing artificial. taste wonderful. The only drawback is that it doesn't melt like the shredded cheese in stores but the fact that it's all natural and has an awesome taste to it makes it for that.

This fresh mozzarella is delicious. It's pre-cut and you can actually take knife and slice it thinner. If you want as I do as some people do like it a little thinner and it's very easy to do. It's great on crackers. It's great on melting in the oven. That's a very good item.

While low moisture mozzarella is okay for pizza, this full moisture cheese is hands down superior, especially for leftovers. For pizza leftovers, it maintains taste and texture even after a couple of days in the fridge and reheating. Great for snacking on its own too. Walmart and the brand have so far kept the price consistent for several years, which is awesome in this inflation/shrinkflation economy. Highly recommended.

Soft, fresh, and perfectly sliced. This BelGioioso mozzarella does exactly what fresh mozzarella should do: mild, creamy, and just salty enough. Caprese? Nailed it. Sandwiches? Elevated. Eating a slice straight from the fridge? Also acceptable. No drama. Just really good cheese.

Belgoioso fresh pre-sliced mozarrella log is pre-cut and into thick slices which is more desirable for eating it by itself. Taste of mozarella is only ideal when it is soft, fresher made, and fresh intense milk taste. However what is lacking in this Brand's soft mozarella is taste . It is bland. Even pouring my pricy imported Balsamic syrup or adding basil did not compensate for the natural bland taste of the cheese. However, it is still pleasant to enjoy fresh textured mozarella soft and pre-sliced thick.

I get delivery 75% of the time, and it's too bad the rating has to be lower because of delivery issues. the people shop and also don't read expiration dates. every time I get a delivery, something is wrong. I have to drive 5 exits to the nearest walmart to return in person. that means the food sits outside of the Refrigerator rotting in my home.

BUYER BEWARE JULY 2026: If you buy this supposed fresh mozzarella log, make sure you open it ALL THE WAY up. Don't just start at the front and not see the whole cheese log, even at the back end. The end that stays covered when only getting a few slices at one time, was completely GREEN all the way through the middle and was working its way towards the center of the mozzarella log. This is the 3rd Mozzarella log this summer of 2026 that this has happened with. The 1st time I thought it was a fluke. Nope. 2 more Mozzarella logs same, with the green mold in the back of the log, in the middle of the cheese slices, working its way to the middle of the cheese log. It is so disgusting and I also rechecked the expire date, it is expiring in August 2026 and it is only July 2026. So it shows it is unexpired. No more mozzarella for summer of 2026.

I ordered this May 29 with a lot of other groceries and when I got all the way home after picking it up I discovered it was stamped with an expiration date of May 26. Now I have to go all the way back to return it. Not easy for a handicapped person.
