BelGioioso Fresh Mozzarella Sliced Log, 8 oz Refrigerated Plastic Packet

If you like pizzas with the gummy kind of cheese, then this is the cheese you want to buy. It's already in presliced rounds that have a nice spread as it melts. The taste is a good quality mozzarella. We made homemade pizzas and they didn't last long.

Fresh mozzarella is so versatile. I use it year around, adding the slices on top of pasta casseroles to melt into the dish. Fresh mozzarella is delicious in the warmer months as salads of alternating mozzarella slices, tomatoes and fresh basil topped with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar. It's also good marinated in olive oil with a variety of fresh herbs and garlic.

I admit it, aside from fresh, which I don't find or purchase often, BelGioioso has always been my forever favorite and I was so excited to find it at Walmart. The BelGioioso cheese is creamy and oh so good. I like to eat it with roasted red peppers and a little bit of vinaigrette, but there's so many other ways to eat it or use it, salads and so much more. As I said, it's so creamy and oh so fresh. There's never been another brand that I've found that ever came, or comes, close to how delicious this is. 20 star cheese if you're looking for a real Italian and Fresh type of Mozzarella cheese. Highly recommend.

I love these in the summertime layered with good tomatoes and basil. I like to drizzle them with olive oil after applying salt pepper and a few herbs and letting them marinate just to be it before eating. It's keto friendly and they're so good- especially have tomatoes. These are also good on sandwiches! I like to layer slices with tomato basil and prosciutto and very good balsamic on ciabatta bread and toast them. They are usually less expensive if you can buy them in the two packs though. I find these are an excellent keto option for me when I'm dieting. .

I didn't think I would like this fresh mozzarella pre-sliced, but it works out well for the sliced tomatoes I make and sprinkle with seasoning, balsamic and wine vinegar and olive oil.

Look.. for the price you're not gonna get restaurant quality sliced moz.. However, if you're looking for an inexpensive option, choose this over store brand. It's WELL worth the additional .50¢

Great on anything that you want to put mozzarella on. Makes a frozen pizza taste like the best parlor pizzeria pizza you'll ever have. Great in salads, on hot grinders. Great cold or melted. Melted and toasted golden brown is my favorite. Yummy.

I only would not recommend this product if your intention is to melt it because that's very difficult to accomplish, and I'm guessing that most people buy mozzarella because they want to use it in grilled cheese or as a crepe filling or in a casserole. When I finished cooking a crepe after the fillings were inside, this mozzarella just would not melt unless I overcooked the crepe to get it done.

I love the BelGioiso brand and am an avid eater of their fresh Mozzarella balls. The were out of my usual so I picked up these sliced mozarella log. To me they were slightly drier, with less flavor and the textured slightly changed. These were also more expensive for less in the package. I prefer the large balls you cut yourself. Unless you are in a rush. If you are needing the sliced cheese because you don't have the time then this would be for you.

This product came delivered. It was warm and runny and Walmart expected me to return it when I pay to have groceries delivered. If I wanted to go to the store, I would have picked it up myself!
