BelGioioso Parmesan Cheese Wedge Specialty Hard Cheese, 8 oz Refrigerated Plastic Packet

If you're making homemade Caesar salad, just get the wedge. Seriously. The flavor is so much better than the pre-grated stuff, and it takes maybe 30 seconds to shave or grate what you need. I used a vegetable peeler to make little Parmesan ribbons for my salad, and it made it feel way fancier than it actually was. It has that salty, nutty Parmesan flavor you'd expect, and a little goes a long way.

Though buying a wedge requires more work than just opening a plastic container (this brand also comes shredded in plastic containers), its always good to also have a wedge for FRESHER shredded cheese. I love and always purchase both - I just use the cheese that matches my mood ! I'm tired and lazy that night ?..I grab the shredded. I have energy and want to be more chefy...I grate away ! True LOL

I've never been one to think that there was a difference between the wedge Parmesan cheese and the other already shredded parmesan cheeses. But there is a big difference. The wedge parmesan cheese this one, is much more flavorful and melts beautifully but the flavor really stands out and I would definitely recommend it. Also it seems to last longer then the larger already shredded parmesan cheeses. Very good value and quality and a wonderful taste.

THIS IS THE BEST PARMESAN CHEESE TO BUY. I ALWAYS KEEP 1 IN MY REFRIGERATOR BECAUSE I COOK ITALIAN AT LEAST OUNCE A WEEK. I PREFER GRATING THE PARMESAN MY SELF WHEN I NEED TO BECAUSE IT HAS MORE TASTE. I ALSO LIKE THIS CHEESE ON MY SALAD AND ON MY STEAMED VEGGIES.

We love this parmesan cheese. This is our go-to parmesan. I think its amazingly good for grocery store-bought parmesan. I would never go to a specialty shop for expensive parmesan when I think this is so good. I don't buy pre-grated parmesan because it tends to have additives, and still gets moldy. This one has no additives and it lasts a long time. We grate it, or even cut it into chunks for a charcuterie or cheese board.

Worth every penny, you get a huge amount of shredded parmesan when you buy the wedge, much more than even a large container of pre shredded, and no .... um.... sawdust... to keep it from clumping up. All shredded cheese contains cellulose, the stuff they make paper out of, to keep it from clumping up. I am an ingredients reader, but go look for yourself and buy and shred your own cheese, saves far more money than paying for the convenience and you pay for the cellulose.

This parmesan is just sooo good! Excellent taste and quality! I use it in my recipes (even grate it on freshly popped popcorn while it's still hot), but have found that we must have a little cheese mouse in our house, because somehow there are always some missing pieces cut from the wedge (by mouse I mean my cheese loving husband lol)!

The flavor is a bit bland. Expected a bit more punch of flavor. It does seem if you grate it and let it set in the refrigerator in a covered bowl a day or two it gets a bit sharper. I guess if you pay a lot more you get that extra kick. So basically, for the price it's ok but it could be better.

I did not receive this item and the shopper said he did not read that I had requested a substitute before he erased the item. This is becoming a giant pain in the neck. Please hire and train people that will pay attention and do the job right. I am disabled and I cannot run out and get this item myself. I need it for a particular recipe for tomorrow night. Now I have to figure out how I am going to get this item.
