This block charger does save you energy when it's plugged into the socket. However, I take it out anyway just to be on the safe side. The speed of charging up my phone is very fast. This works for tablets, phones, and laptops. You can take it with you anywhere that has a socket. I would suggest this charger.

By far the worst wall plug I've ever used, I constantly have to fiddle with plugging it in and out of the wall for the charge to actually stay constant. I don't know why or how a product could work so poorly, I mean it's a wall plug but it just doesn't work
