Great product. The sensor is very sensitive and just what I was looking for. I use it for my back patio where there is nothing but trees and night creatures. It alerts me if something gets near since it's pitch black at night. I will purchase more of these for a future home. Highly recommend!
I love the bright light this gives off in our backyard when the dogs go out. I would like this to stay lit for 10 or 15 minutes. Little and small pets are in need of protection from owls, hawk, even racoon and other creatures of the night. I walk in the yard after dark on warm, balmy nights and would like the beam to stay on longer. I also want to watch if something has triggered the light until I'm sure of what it is.
We've tried others that were cheaper, and looked fancier or appeared high tech. DON'T BOTHER. There's was, for us, always a tech design flaw or the maker used the cheapest nickel cadmium batteries on the market. We said- no more. You're not saving money if you have to replace out your solar light fixtures every 3 months. We stick with proven, effective brands that have lasted us for years. I put up three of these same Bell %26 Howell units 4 or 5 years ago. They still perform very well. No issues to report at all. We tried the smaller B%26H units available. They just didn't have the illuminating punch that these ones do. Don't bother. Nitty gritty: 1. Stick with Bell %26 Howell or Hyper Tough brands. 2. For mounting, be advised these have a very slick sided, flat backplate. a. Spread caulk to seal battery box from humidity, condensation %26 rain. b. If mounting on a wood surface, has mounting screws/anchors. If brick, I'd recommend masonry screws, of course. We mounted on the I-beams of a carport. Box came with h.duty 3M mount strips. We used Gor. Glue mount tape. Once in place, we caulked all along the exterior seams. Then, used heavy duty external duct tape on all four sides. THOSE LIGHTS ARE GOING NOWHERE, friends and neighbors! LOL! Just gotta make sure you don't cover the solar panel, located on the top of the unit. It may sound a little draconian, but by sealing off damaging moisture, as mentioned, we have B%26H large lights, exactly like these, working great after 4 years. Thank you. Cheers.
Bought this for my camper. Installed using the double stick tape that came with it to the outside of my camper, since it's stationary. Very bright. Motion detection works well.
Only dislike is not being able to adjust the length of time it stays on and the side motion detector is not sensitive enough. The front motion detector is great!
Super bright. I attached it to my front porch with the sticky tape that is included and it has held up all summer in the 90-degree weather and several rain storms. Highly recommended!
Easy to install. Like the fact I just peel and stick, didnt want to bore holes. Light comes on every time. Perfect. Well made robust
I think it's a very nice light, but it doesn't stick on well to anything and I've had to work my way around it just for it to work well. Not worth the hassle but I guess you get what you paid for
I double taped the light like it says and it's supposed to be bright enough to see outside and then when someone walks by it's supposed to be brighter but the first bright is not bright at all the second bright that when someone get close is highly bright until you get about two feet away from it.
the lights work but the adhesive doesn't stick to siding. i cleaned the siding and wiped with alcohol to be sure it was clean. I applied the lights, felt like it was attached...a few days later, adhesive failed. very disappointing.
