Purchased it because of a recommendation of our physical therapist. My husbands leg was partially amputated, and we are using the weighted blanket to help with the ghost pain.

At 12 lbs the weight is just perfect and I can fold it in half if I want the extra weight on me. It is also very soft and cozy. I can't wait for winter weather so I can leave the heat down! There is just something about the weight that gives me a sense of security and protection and it helps me rest. Its not so heavy that I can't move and its so very soft to touch. I couldn't wait til colder weather to try it out, I had to have it now. Now I'm excited for winter to come so I have a reason to snuggle up under this blanket. Thanks Bell + Howell!

Comforting and very relaxing. Easy to fall asleep if you have trouble with sleeping. Do not cover your head as it clearly said in the instructions.For easy cleaning I like to use duvet cover. Definitely the best weighted blanket I've ever had.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 12lb Quilted Plush PleasurePedic Full/Queen Sized weighted blanket is wonderfully soft & well constructed. I was pleased not to find any fill in the box or on the blanket upon unpacking. The 12lb weight is apparent and creates a cozy experience. I would encourage checking the blanket's measurements & the guide rather than going by the traditional full/queen size that one may be accustomed to purchasing. The blanket fell short of the complete width of our full-sized bed and clearly would on a queen. It covers one person fine but wouldn't be sufficient for a couple. That said, it would work well as a throw. This, in combination with the care instructions, is where it lost a star in its rating. The directions indicate that the blanket must be hand-washed - dry cleaning isn't an option so spot cleaning as needed will be paramount. I can only imagine that when wet, this blanket's weight could be difficult to manage & it would need great support to allow it to air dry. Overall, the blanket fulfills what one would expect from a weighted blanket & provides a coziness one couldn't get from a traditional blanket.

My son slept with this blanket for 2 maybe 3 day. Then he started complaining about how itchy the blanket was. I was very confused. Only thing I could think of is whatever they stuffed it with was coming out. I held the blanket by one corner and gave it a few shakes. Sure enough the guts was coming out.....
