Bellamy Studios Ava Contemporary Metal Daybed Frame, Black

I am in love with this daybed! I am a 27 year old female that assembled it within 2 hours all by myself. It was pretty easy to do too. It's very firm and stable, it doesn't make any squeaking noises when you turn and I do weigh more than the average person might I add. But this bed is pretty sturdy! definitely worth what you pay for it.

I love this Ava bed. It's much larger than I expected which is excellent, plenty of room, very sturdy, was a breeze to put together by myself. I am 59 yr old female and not in the best of health after a mild stroke, so I was concerned. Exactly what I was looking for in the weight limit, since I do have friends and family that stay over some weekends. I would definitely recommend this.

It was exactly as expected. Looks nice and sits high off the ground, with plenty of space for a few storage containers underneath. My son was a bit dismayed to find he had to put in a bunch of poles across the seating area, but when it came to doing it, it was not at all difficult. They fit in easily and had spacers to keep them the right distance apart. After they were put in, there were other spacers to put in to keep them in place. They snapped in with ease. A standard twin-size mattress fits perfectly on top.

Very sturdy and high enough off the floor to accommodate a trundle or lots of storage space, this bed works with contemporary or traditional bedding. My standard length twin mattress fits snugly and stays put. The struts are close together and are locked in place. If the mattress is a quality gel foam or memory foam, you'll only need an 8 inch depth unless you want a very high bed. *Note on assembly: The struts slide into position through the key-hole opening of the frame with the slots facing the narrow area of the keyholes. Once in place, the small, square plastic tabs are used to stabilize the struts. Place the small plastic square with the inside ridges even with the square edge(the other end has about 1/32 margin) against the strut. Insert the ridge against the top, then push the bottom of the square into place.

I love this daybed so much. It shipped quickly. There was no damage to box or bed. Very heavy tho and you have to have two ppl to put it togather. If you try to put it up by yourself you might damage parts or hurt yourself or take out a light on the celing if you don't pay attention lol. It took me and my friend 3 hours to put it togather but were both blonde and kept takeing breaks. The first 5 min I lost the first screw and took another 40 looking for it. Side note there are no extra pieces so don't loose any! The only slight down about it was that I guess a machine punches the holes where the screws go cause one bar was just ever so slightly off like by a few centemeters so it was hard to put on but we were able to force hold both sides up togather long enough to get it in. Didnt damage it at all and is still very safe. I did screw some of the other pieces a bit tight before putting that one on so it may be you need to lightly put pieces together and then once all three sides connected screw em tight. Also i screwed in the sides so tight (sides go on to the base before back it put on ) that when we went to put the base on we had to wiggle it in pretty hard so tighten after is best. Bed sits kinda tall but still low enough for me to sit on with legs off like a sofa and my feet almost touch the floor but i'm only 5 ft 5. Easily fits another matress underneath. I got a discount spread on overstock.com and some pillows from good will and it turned out so cute. thebed is sturdy and doesnt wabble or squeek when getting off or on. I wouldnt recomend running and jumping on it if your an adult but it could probably take that too. when you put it togather it it has two sides you screw to the base of bed , then you put on the back then you just link the bars to the base of the bed by clicking them in (they dont make a click noise its more that you slide them in a slot and lock em in place with the plastic pieces )and then secureing them in place with a plastic wedge and then theres plastic clips that snap all along the middle and your done. I know what your thinking plastic? but its really strong, very stong plastic that really thick. I think they went with plastic cause it can bend to snap on the metal without scratching it that way it has some give if that makes sense. trust me this bed is very sturdy. you can put pillows on the side to lean on like you would on a sofa or on the back to sit back and then just move em all when you want to sleep. plenty of storage under bed for another bed or for stuff. in the pics you can see my undermatress (i didnt buy the trolly thing to hold it i just got the day bed i mean the matress is just under it anyway lol) but thats because the skirt that came with my bedding was ment for a shorter daybed i think. dont really care still love it. Great buy worth it!

I couldn't have imagined using a daybed til now. Now I won't go back to a normal bed. Got this for our teenage son, we may get something similar for his dad. We had a showroom frame before that couldn't take his punishment and fell apart. It arrived before it was due and thankfully I had extra hands to help put it together. Happy with how solid it seems to be.

I am not a "handy-chic" and this bed was very easy to assemble even for me! It's stable and sturdy and my daughter says very comfortable (I purchased the 5" Spa Sensation Mem Foam mattress with this). For the price, I definitely feel I received my money's worth!

We bought this bed for my daughter in college who has a very small room. We liked that it can hold up to 600 lbs while others hold only 220. This way she can use it as couch and a bed. Also since the room was small we purchased two large storage chests at Walmart that fit nicely under the bed (there is 15 inches of storage under the bed from floor to bed and the storage chests were roughly 13 inches). This worked out great for a small room. Not to mention it is a very stylish bed!

Bed was pretty much what I expected. Went together fairly easily, and all the parts were there. The bed fits the space I purchased it for. The manufacturer claims it will support 600 lbs, however I strongly suspect that continued use would have the supports bending over time.

Overall I was really impressed with the quality of the bed for the price and would have given this product 5 stars however, I was extremely disappointed that I had to run to the hardware store in order to put the bed together. When I finished unpacking the bed from its shipping box it did not take me long to realize that the entire hardware kit was missing! Instead of waiting another 2 weeks for the hardware to be shipped to me I used the product manual to purchase the hardware I needed.
