The bed is a great size for 3 going on 4 year old toddler. The slide is a favorite! I love the space for storage under the bed and the shelves on the side. A regular mattress will block some of the shelf on the bottom but it really doesn't affect it not one bit and you can still see items on the shelf. So really just depends if you want to get a thin mattress or stick with normal. Overall the bed is amazing! We've recommended and rave about to to everyone!

Got this for my 3yr old daughter and so far it's a hit! She loves it! Only been a week but she loves that she has stairs and a slide on her bed. Would recommend!

I couldn't believe there were little to no reviews. I bought two of them for my 2 and 4 year old. They are a little high for a two year old. Im 5 foot 2 inches and it comes to my breasts. My kidsclimb and jump all over these beds and they are holding strong and sturdy. We have had them for 5 months now and I do not have small children. I love that you can use under for storage but I built dinasour land under one and hot wheel land under the other. I strung safe lights up and put curtains up around it to give them their own space.

This bed is toddler approved. Their favorite part is the slide. I like the storage area and floor area below the bed due to the extra space. Great purchase.

Daughter loves it. She just spent her first night in her big girl bed. It is definitely less intimidating to her because it is fun to play on, She spent about 45 minutes playing and sliding on the slide, before bedtime we wound down and she went right to bed. I was glad she didn't have to navigate a ladder while sleepy. construction took a few hours, but bed feels solid.

It took me a couple hours to put the bed together by myself, maybe 2 hours. My daughter loves her big girl bed. I did not like the fact that open side did not provide additional wood for the open gap opposite of the slide. We had some extra scrap wood that fit perfectly on the open side so it's not a concern anymore but i still would have liked that option. The open gap was the main concern when deciding the bed vs other low loft bed options but we liked the stairs and storage this bed offers. Also I'll probably get the rubber safety caps you would put on a table because the sharp corners make scratches and bruises, made that discovery at bed time.

You get what you pay for. Bed will work for our toddler but it arrived with scratches and marks already and an area of paint missing.
