I used the enclosed stake to put it in the ground in my back yard. It works perfectly to light up the area I walk my dog in at night. The motion sensor catches us as we walk along the patio and you can adjust the side spotlights for a wider range. It stays on for 30 seconds but if it still detects motion it will stay on longer. So, for my needs it is great.

I saw this product featured on HSN and immediately recognized the brand, Bell and Howell. I'm so pleased with my purchase. There are two options to choose when installing the light, either mount it to a wall or stake it in the ground. I choose the second option. It to no more than 5 minutes to set up. The area where the additional light was needed is brightly illuminated and now secured. Worth every penny spent 👌. .

I purchased this light so I could place it directly into the ground without having to attach it to the house, and it works perfectly. The setup was very easy, and after a week of use, it's still working flawlessly. Exactly what I was looking for and highly recommended.

This not my first Bell and Howell product I have purchased. So far it's perfect for lighting up the doggie door and steps at night my older dogs. The solar perfect for the location.

I use these in my backyard for my dogs: at night, I can see where they are and it also warns off creatures of the night that are not wanted. As long as they can charge with sunlight you'll have no problems.

I wanted a flood light for the yard decorations. It has two modes, one for if it detects movement and one for on at night. When it is in detected mode, it is very bright, but when it is in the regular mode, it is operating at a reduced light level to conserve energy. Just wasn't bright enough. Also, as the days were cloudy, it did not get enough energy stored to maintain lighting for more than a couple of hours. Really didn't work the way I had hoped. I went an bought a regular, plug-in spot light.
