Belwares Instant Read Digital Food Meat Thermometer with Foldable Probe

To turn on, press the button which flips out the probe tip. The probe tip coming out automatically powers on the unit. Folding the probe tip back to its storage position automatically powers off the unit. This is one of very few kitchen tools with a magnet that was strong enough to secure the device (others are so weak that they'll fall by closing the fridge or microwave door). Leave it stuck to the metal shell of my microwave. It has a hook for hanging, but the hook would have to be deep for depth. Temperature reading, so far, have been accurate: have used it to measure the air temperature (to compare against a thermometer) and my own body temperature. For a long time, I've just guessed if meat was sufficiently cooked, but this will help to be more sure. It takes a common CR2032 coin-cell battery, and those are easy to get (very cheap if bought in bulk). The orange backlamp only stays on 5 seconds after powering on or tapping the Hold button; else, it's a black digit on gray background (typical for LCDs).

Accurate and I like the temperature hold feature. Numbers are large and backlit. Well worth the money.

Ive used other meat thermometers but love this one for temping meats on the grill. It's small but mighty and works great!!!

We used this thermometer tonight. We bought it for the camper because we needed something compact. It folds up nicely so it's compact and it's easy to find with the bright orange color. I measured it against another thermometer I had and it had an accurate reading. It is also affordable.

I'm a chef in a kitchen I use thermometers all the time I had many different ones before ,this one really looks something better then others, it has a magnet which is very usable for a commercial kitchen, and it's folding nice and easy, gives fast temperatures .

Perfect for backyard BBQ. It turns on instantly and gives an instant temperature. Temperature appears to be very accurate. It has the estimated temperatures for specific meats printed right on the handle. We used it on a small pork loin and it was cooked perfectly. The other thing I like about it is that it uses a standard 20/32 battery. The last instant read digital meat thermometer we had had some odd-ball batteries that I could not find anywhere.

This thermometer is great. Instant read means instant read, and comparing it to other thermometers that I own/use it seems to be spot-on in terms of calibration. We use it a lot and love it. If you smoke meats or grill consistently this is a must-have piece of equipment.

I bought the iGrill food thermometer a year ago and the sensors fell apart pretty fast. Ugh. So i bought this instead on a whim, and sure, I can't leave it IN the grill, but the speed and accuracy more than makes up for that. Fried some sirloin last night and got a perfect medium rare thanks to this. Just checked my crock pot with it and instantly saw that my roast isn't ready yet. Really happy with this little grill buddy - we'll have a lot of fun by my outdoor grill this summer!

It only worked twice ; now it won't even turn on
