A little goes a long way. Just follow the directions. I have used it on trails in Florida and Vermont. On my last hike, I was swarmed by flies, bees, and mosquitos. The noise was loud for hours. However, I was not bitten or stung. It does have an odor, but after an hour, I didn't notice anymore. Your experience may be different. Many hikers treat their clothing with permethrin and use deet only on their skin since some expensive "miracle" camping fabrics might be degraded by deet. I rinse my hands with water after I apply the deet. If bugs cluster on my hands later, I just rub the backs of my hands on my treated skin. That's usually enough.

My go-to Insect Repellent for Years because of being a favorite feast for Mosquitoes. Now that I'm living in a more rural area where ticks are most likely in my front %26 back yard, I'm once again turning to Ben's for additional protection when needed.

I have used Ben's insect repellent in various forms for years. It is very effective in preventing bug bites, and the pump form is the easiest to use.

All bugs bite me, but not wearing this stuff! I also saw no tics so I definitely say it works great! The only reason I gave it a 4 star because of the teeny tiny bottle I received. It didn't last long at all.

Product looks good but I have not used it yet, but 100% Deet should work fine. The problem is the Walmart product description says it is a four pack of 1.25 oz Ben's 100 Deet spray. They only sent one, not four. Someone lied. I bought it because there were supposed to be four of them. Very unhappy.
