Pretty sure they are the real thing. Do have the Black Berkey trademark on the housing

Water tastes gross
The water tasted gross, and filtered super quickly as if it weren't really being filtered. This is not a true Berkey filter. At this price, I might as well have just bought an authentic filter from Berkey. It was very disappointing.
