Berkley PowerBait Pogy Swim Shad Fishing Soft Bait

For a short paddle tail bait it has really good action. The shad color seamed to work best for small mouth bass in fast water. Unfortunately Berkley must of changed the shad color, the pinkish one worked a lot better than the whiter one. I will keep a supply close at all times.

Bought these for white bass. I wanted something on the smaller size as I've found that sometimes whites avoid three and four inch baits. These are the perfect size and weight. Hooks are sharp and not too big. Plastic is soft enough to have good swimming action but tough enough to catch many fish before having to change (I actually crazy glue them once they start to tear). They're a little pricey but most good swim baits and heads are. Overall I think they're worth the money. And they're great for crappie too!

They look great going through the water and crappie seem to like biting them this time of year. I have yet to catch anything else, but my lake mostly just has black crappie anyway. All these soft action swim baits seem to slay in my lake...

The rubber material used is very flexible which allows the tail to flicker back and forth while reeling in bait. The price for the 5 pack is pretty reasonable. They're a nice little bait.

I've used the smaller 2-inch Pogy Swimmin' Shads for quite a while for crappie %26 bluegill. One of my favorite lures for these guys. I bought these larger ones to try them out on bass, and have not been disappointed. Great natural action, realistic...just a great little swimming bait for panfish or big ole bass. Recommended.

My son and I have caught several Peacock Basses with these. They seem to love them!

Good color for spring-summer but not as good for colder months, good action and catches fish occasionally.
