i chose this specific yarn to make a cozy blanket for my first great grandson who is due to arrive on 12\17\2026!! the blanket is beautiful, cuddly and warm enough for a Nothern Indiana winter!! durableenough to remain beautiful, warm, and cozy through many years of use.
Bernat Bulky yarn for me is great for making cardigans, scarves and blankets! It's so easy to crochet with and it "frogs" easy, too! It's easy to use. The texture is very soft but it's very stable yarn which is why this yarn is one of my favorites to use!! Try it, you might just like it!! I recommend it!
I decided to make a crochet a blanket for myself for once. I absolutely love the colors and the feel. I purchased my first 3 spools in store. I noticed I could get the big one online and it was much less. For $10 you can't beat it. I am now down to the last of the 4 and need more. However I noticed the price keeps fluctuationing. I will wait for it to go back down or buy elsewhere. Note I M not a professional by far. I thought I was making a queen size and to my dismay it has turned into larger than a king size..lol. I love it though. It is so warm and cozy!!!
This yarn is so pretty and soft! When I first saw it in the store, I was not sure I would like working with it, but I decided to buy it anyway. When I got home and started using it, I found out how easily I could crochet with it. It kind of has a silky feel to it, so it feels nice against my skin. It is so thick it makes my projects fly by. I have made several doll blankets with it, and now I am working on a baby blanket. I think the recipient of the blanket will love it as much as I do.
I had started a baby afghan and needed lots more yarn but Walmart was sold out in the two closest stores so I ordered online. My order was there in 2 days, and the product is exactly what I ordered. This Bernat Baby's Yarn is almost like chanell, or maybe plush terry, somewhat bulky and works up easily. The afghan is absolutely beautiful. I posted 2 pics, but they don't do justice to the beauty of this afghan. Then again, I'm not the best photographer. The price was right and I would reccommend using this to all crafters. I love the free site to store shipping.
I bought this yarn to make a blanket for the twins my daughter is expecting. I expected it to be a bulky yarn, but it was even thicker than I expected. I decided that it would be too thick to use as a blanket to wrap the babies in, but would be perfect to make a floor blanket (one they could lay on to play before they start crawling). It's coming along nicely. I just wish it came in some adult colors because now I'd like some leg warmers and a scarf in this! It's very very soft and snuggly and quite warm.
The yarn itself is lovely, but I've learned chunky yarn isn't my preference. This one is a bit thinner than other chunky options, yet still not something I'd buy again. Chunky-yarn lovers, though, will probably appreciate it.
Saddened that Walmart varies this price from 7-$15. In store one week I paid $12, the next week I paid $7 online I found out about low pricing only through group chatter. This is sad. I should have been refunded difference with such a price difference so close with same company. This is shameful Walmart. The yarn is great made a beautiful blanket. Companies need to keep prices consistently low and stop price gouging
I got this yarn because I needed a super bulky weight yarn for a baby blanket I'm crocheting, and everyone seems to love this yarn. It was sold out all over town, so I finally ended up ordering it from here. My order arrived very quickly, which I was happy about. However, I don't think I'll ever use this yarn again. It doesn't glide easily through my fingers, making it very difficult to maintain a nice tension (I finally had to rip out my work and go up a hook size because it was just too stiff no matter how loosely I tried to crochet). Also, this yarn I feel like will be TOO warm for a baby, plus since its acrylic it doesn't breathe, so I'm thinking this blanket will probably end up being used as a tummy time mat more than a blanket. I wish there were more affordable soft cotton yarn options that I could use for baby blankets, but most aren't very nice feeling and the ones that are, are too expensive.
The item is fine. Its the delivery system. The drivers need to pay close attention to addresses. Delivered to wrong address that I physically had to retrieve by the picture taken or they would have kept it. That should not have happened. I also chose ship and not delivery from store. So 2 errors occurred on the shipping process.
