Bernat Blanket Big Ball Yarn-Inkwell

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bernat Blanket Yarn has been my go-to for #6 bulky yarn for years. The yarn is the gold standard in my opinion. BBY is easy to work with (as bulky yarn goes), comes in so many gorgeous colors and you can easily find combinations that work together beautifully. The yarn is SOFT! BBY also launders so well! I always recommend washing in a giant mesh laundry bag, but my daughter can't be bothered….she throws the blanket in the washer and dryer and it looks as good as the day I made it over 10 years ago! I'm on a fixed income so I wait for sales but I buy as much as my budget allows. Next sale…run…don't walk!

I really like this yarn for crocheting all my stuffed animals that I make and sell. It is just the right softness and yet durable for prolonged play. The softness makes you want to cuddle the animal. I will also say though that the yarn can easily break compared to other yarns when tugging on it as a strand, especially for a magic ring. So tug gently. Once the item is getting crocheted and made the yarn is strong like any other yarn. The only other negative is that in most skeins there are at least 2 or more joined knots. However, overall, I do recommend this yarn for amigurumi and water balloons.

The last time I purchased Bernat Blanket was in 2019, for blankets for my grandchildren. They all adored how soft the yarn was! I bought more this year for gifts for their significant others and found that Blanket is even softer than ever. (Lush Life is my go-to pattern.)

Just received my order of Bernat Blanket yarn in the colors, North Sea and Purple Sunset. What can I say? Love this yarn for it's soft, squishy texture and quick workup. And these particular colors are gorgeous. Crocheting blankets for my grandkids with this yarn, and I know they're going to love the colors also. ❤️

The yarn is a perfect thickness for making blankets, throws etc, and extremely easy to use. I started using this brand a few years back and the results are beautiful. The thickness allows for a comfy warmth that in cold weather, keeps you cozy while snuggling under it. Whether using it to cuddle on the sofa or, to add as a bed covering over a comforter, the extra weight and warmth adds an element of joy as you drift off to sleep. The vast variety of color options allow for an abundance of pairing to create unique finished pieces. I've made many a throw & blanket for my family, as well as scarves and hats for winter! I simply love Bernat Blanket yarn!

I love all the colorful Bernat Blanket Yarns. I crochet them into pet beds for my local animal shelters, and everyone says how much the cats and small dogs like the beds. The yarn is easy to care for, holds up very well under numerous washings, and crochets up quickly so that I can make more beds.

This is really nice yarn and easy to work with. A couple of the balls it was harder to get the first string from the inside, but after a bit of work an untangling I got it done. Nothing that takes from the quality of the yarn though. I needed a size 10 or 11 hook for crochet but only had 6.5 but I still made do with that. Made a beautiful blanket for my daughter with this. SO soft and cozy and it didn't take long to make because it builds fast because it is so chunky.

Bernat Blanket Yarn has always been a favourite of mine. The price keeps going up and up and up. So thanks for this sale price!

As a rule, I really like to use Bernat Blanket yarn for blankets…..the final outcome is a warm, soft, squishy blanket. Color choices are excellent. The yarn feels soft with which to crochet. This time I was a bit disappointed with numerous knots and tangling in more than half of the skeins. The recipient of the blanket, I know, will enjoy this gift regardless of the frustrations that I had.

I recieved 2 balls of yarn the same colour bur the 2 are a different shade. Tvere shoukd be blavk in the yarn. One ball had black but the other one was a faded black. Very noticeable in a blanket.
