Bernat Softee Baby Yarn

This is a nice weight of yarn to use for a crocheted baby's blanket. I am currently using this yarn (color is "Pink Flannel") with a light pink baby's yarn and both (Bernat) yarns go great together. I will probably need to get some more to finish the blanket they way I want. I would recommend this yarn.

There is nothing I dislike. I was surprised because of the multiple colors that make up the skein. But just doing a baby blanket, the yarn is making a design for me. I really like it. My baby blanket is coming out really nice. I may have enough to make a baby cap.

Love the yarn. Has a really good feel to it. I usually use 2 ends for a rustic textured feel in hats especially in crochet and knits up well on my machine loom. My only criticism is that too much white shows up when knitting single ends. I prefer darker richer colors but thus yarn is perfect for babies. Also very durable.

I received this a day earlier than expected. Only draw back is there are only so many balls you can order at a time. A bit disappointing to only be able to order 4 when you want 6 or 2 when you want 4.

I've been knitting and crocheting since I was 7 years old. In December I'll be 82. I have made a lot of stuff. The prices are fine, for the time. And the availability is great. The colors are great.

The yarn itself is great but you sent the wrong color. You sent princess pebble and I ordered prince pebble. I am able to use the yarn for another project but delayed in starting the one I ordered this color for.

I bought the colour “flannel”, which is described as pastel pink, grey, and white. It's pretty, and I like the texture of the yarn - not too soft, not too hard, and no pesky fuzzies to pick off after knitting which I appreciate. I wish the colours were a touch more pigmented, especially the pink, and the grey sometimes looks a bit mauve in certain light (or I need new glasses) but overall, it's quite lovely.

Main point: for a yarn that's supposed to be baby soft, it is not despite all the countless reviews that say it is, so proceed with caution when purchasing. Bought 4 skeins of this for a baby blanket, and knew pretty immediately out of the box there was no way I could use this for literally anything that would touch a human's skin, much less a baby's. Worth nothing that I didn't check the lots but 3 were packaged together in manufacture's plastic and the fourth was loose and not from the same bundle. Texture is very, very rough and scratchy, and I tried multiple methods to soften it (soak with vinegar, wash with hot water and softener, steaming it) with really no luck - It's acrylic so I wasn't expecting much in terms of trying to soften it. On the positive side the colors are cute in an older fashioned 90's baby sort of way if you're into that, but I would absolutely not recommend using it for anything that is worn or used for babies or even adults. I bet my cats will love the blanket I make for them of this yarn though.

This is the harshest yarn a person could use for a baby. Heavier weight than the last Bernat Softee Baby yarn I used.
