Good and fast service . Thank you
Honestly, I was surprised the thickness and softness of the yarn. Usually, other SuperValue yarns tend to be a little scratchy, but I bought this after seeing Mikey (Crochet Crowd) used it for his blanket pattern. Glad I took his recommendation. Good value and quality.
Not one reason, then another, but all at the same time. I want yarn that's soft, that's color consistent, that looks and feels warm and cozy and says I care about my work. For blankets that's Bernat Super Value. My great grandchildren will hand their blankets to their children someday in the future. And, affordable for such big projects.
I really love this yarn. It feels soft and squishy and works up beautifully. The colors are rich and have a depth to them. I love that so much comes in a skein at a really affordable price. I wasn't expecting to fall in love with it, but I did. I'm very sensitive to textures and this feels really good while working with it but also when you wear it.
This machine washable and dryable yarn is great for the Aran knit sweater I made for my husband. It was rated as a 93% match to the recommended wool, however, I found it so nice to work with and held its shape beautifully. The added bonus is I can throw it in the washing machine and dryer. I liked it so much I purchased it a second time.
It's not the softest yarn, but it is very consistent in color and weight/thickness. It's a little splitty at times. My go-to method for softening crunchy yarn is saturating my finished project with cheap hair conditioner and letting it soak in the washing machine in hot water for about an hour, then wash with hypoallergenic detergent.
Love the softness of this yarn! I used it to make and baby cardigan and hat, working in the 3rd set. Lots of great compliments and telling people about it on Facebook.
It's great for blankets and hats, it's washable and I've made 11 dozen poppies for a project our Hooks'n Needles group are working for Remembrance Day.
Great for beginners because you can frog your work without having the yarn fall apart or get tangled. I also find it softer than red heart. I think it's a great product at a decent price. I use this yarn for a bunch of different things (ie: Christmas decorations, Amigarumi/plushies, costumes ect.) My only issue is that if I work with it for too long in one sitting, I notice that it bothers my joints more than some other yarns might. (I also have tight tension though). My review is based on crochet only, I don't have experience knitting.
Bernat Super Value yarn was called for in a pattern I made last year, so I decided, What the heck? Why not give it a shake to keep the result as consistent as possible? I consider making a small pattern over and over again a pretty fair shake and, well, it's not greatest yarn I've worked with. It isn't the *worst*, either, but it frays/frizzes and splits easily, overall doesn't feel that sturdy, and it really couldn't be considered a superior option in quality or price to another Yarnspirations brand: Red Heart Super Saver. I loooove Bernat's blanket and baby yarns, so I feel bad giving the brand a negative review, but I couldn't give it a different review than this in honesty.
