Love this yarn. Works up into such a soft and luxurious fabric. I bought it in two colors, and they both shed a lot. The blue looks like Cookie Monster.
The Bernat is nice to work with.
I loved it, the color is so beautiful!
This yarn is sooooo soft and silky feeling. The color is beautiful. It was easy to work with. The scarf I made with this is so soft and comfortable to wear. I'm buying more to make my family scarves also. I absolutely love this yarn.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This yarn is so soft and durable. Easy to crochet beautiful blankets
I am so glad that Yarnspiration has this type of yarn as it's nearly impossible to find. I will be ordering more.
Very warm and fuzzy. Feels like I'm crocheting a muppet! However, this yarn really sheds when being worked. Be sure to have a lint roller around if you buy it. I'm hoping it settles down once it has been washed.
On the Pro side: I got the Pink Dust and it's a very pretty color and extremely soft. I did the Alpine stitch to make a 47x47 blanket using 10 skeins with a small amount left over. My 5 year old loved how soft it was and was impressed by what I told her was "magic yarn" since it reflects light different when you slide your hand back and forth on it. Crocheting wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be, I didn't have any trouble using touch to find where the stiches should go. The Con: It's very heavy when worked up. For a five year old she really has to lug it around. Since it's heavy, when she is covered up her toes stick out of the space between the stiches, so the Alpine stitch which is a beautiful stitch is to loose for this type of yarn. Also, it sheds while working it up, I had to use a lint roller on my clothes after every session of crocheting, time will tell if the shedding stops. Not sure I'll have a use for it again, but if you want to make a very plush weighted blanket I think it would work wonderful. I think it would make a beautiful and soft decorative pillow cover too.
So luciously Soft %26 Gorgeous! However, the one ‘called Purple' looks Burgundy! Still very pretty though.
The positive side of the Bernat Velvet plus yarn, it is super soft . The negative side, it's super expensive to make a throw. One ball is only 75 yards. Bernat Velvet ball has 315 yards. Drastic difference!!! Beware!!!
