It gives you a nice precision adjustable flame and that is really nice when you are trying to heat up a small spot . It gives you a really nice high heat. It has a nice stand with it that you can place the fuel and its hold either 14oz or 1lb canisters and has a place to put the flame tool. The rubberized grip keeps it from slipping out of your hand. It has a on/off switch and you can lock it to keep a steady flame. There is also and on/off control for the fuel. I like that. It has a 41 inch flexible hose and I think that is plenty for any of your needs. This is a quality product and I recommend it

I put this torch to the test with both small delicate pieces and larger heavy pieces. I found that this torch is great for small to medium pieces. The flame nice and tight which allows me to do fine work. I can easily draw a ball on the end of my wire and use for rivets and pinning. The torch uses very little space and stores easily in the base. It can be used with either propane or MAPP gas. I love the the torch handle can be held with different grips making it easy to control regardless if I am standing or sitting while using the torch. It is easy to control with one hand, whether I am turning it on or adjusting the flame size. The hose is flexible and lightweight making it easy to move as needed. The flame does not go bushy, but it is hot and will get the job done. This is a great torch for those starting out or needing a smaller, tight flame. I have made some really beautiful pieces with this. It is versatile and good to create jewelry and some pottery. Please keep away from sources of heat and open flame. The handle is designed for single-handed use, with versatile pencil and pistol grip options. There is an auto on and off ignition, and a continuous flame lock feature. The fuel stand is light weight and keeps the 14 or 16 ounce fuel cylinder stabilized while working. I want to mention, the fuel cylinder is sold separately. There is a built-in torch dock to store the hot tool in when you're done using it. I have used this to melt plastic, weld jewelry, and for wood burning. It works great and is terrific for detailed work! It's light weight, comfortable to hold, and easy to use! The quality is fantastic! This is definitely a must have tool, it can be used for a ton of different things!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While I first started by looking over the instructions I thought it was a bit complicated to control and use in the beginning, but after using it for a couple of times now. My first project was a wood tray to use as a centerpiece. I first drew with a pencil to create an image that would fit on it. It was alright for a first try, but the second time I felt I was able to have better control over this tool and controlling how much heat to use so I wouldn't end up messing up the design.

I liked the trigger and operation of the torch. I wish it had a carrying handle or something. If you have a permanent work area where this would be mounted its absolutely perfect for that. I found that I liked this so much, that I used it in place of my other torches and found myself wishing it had a carrying handle for better portability. If it had that I would give it 5 stars.

I have had mine for about a year and I love it. I can use it anywhere anytime it's convenient for any project. I highly recommend this torch.

The flame adjustability is very poor. The torch i purchased has hardly any difference in flame size between low and high. In my opinion the adjustable flame control has two settings, high and a little higher. The difference between high and low is barley noticeable.
