This torch has no equal to the best of my knowledge, and there's a feature that hasn't been mentioned in any of the reviews that I've read, so I'd like to bring it to light for any potential buyers. The flame adjustment knob can be articulated (swivelled) from one side to the other to accommodate one handed control of the heat intensity using only your thumb, so no matter if you're righthanded or lefthanded, you can continue working with complete control. The adjustment is simple to make using only an allen wrench, and in no way adversly affects the torches flame or the product users safety. I don't understand why this feature isn't being advertised! Just another aspect that sets this torch even farther apart from the competitors, and if you're wise you'll accept no substitute, because this torch sets the benchmark.

work's great with a adapter hose to a 20 lb propane tank. Very nice Touch love the push button start

Have gotten into sous vide cooking, and this finishes it off perfectly.

Bad news first. Over time the neck gets loose and when you retighten it, it starts to get cockeyed. Perhaps they need a better way to secure the neck than just screwing on. Good news. It's been a solid tool that's I've used for everything. Small metal work, heat coloring titanium, loosening nuts, starting the charcoal, killing bees nest, brazing, making s'mores and the list goes on.

I bought this through Walmart at the time of the purchase the product was listed as "TS8000 torch". But when it arrives, I found it is an n open box item and the model is TS4000 which is a much inferior product. Now, the changed the product decript and removed the model number. But I have my recipe attached with the original item model number. Very disappointed. I will check if they can give me a refund, if not, I will call my credit card company.
