Gave this to my grandkids at Christmas. They are 3 and 7 and they loved it It's very cute. I bought more food items for it and stocked the store before giving to them.
This is a nice wooden sturdy play set. The kids play for hours with it. I would suggest you print out a picture of the playset when ordering to save for putting the set together once delivered. The instruction manual numbers each piece but there are no numbers on the pieces themselves. I suggest you take the time to go use a pencil to number each piece while mock placing pieces together like a jigsaw puzzle before fastening with any screws. I did this, after reading numerous reviews about nightmare construction of playset. My time for build completion of playset was 40 minutes. All pieces were in great shape, no cracks, no dents, no nicks, all pieces and pre-drilled holes matched up and screws went in easily with no problems. I don't suggest using a power driver to install screws; use a hand powered screwdriver. Kids are ages 5 and 3 and simply love this set! Overall, nice set in comparison to other wooden playsets.
I can definitely see how the instructions were difficult. The screws were not labeled and only half of the pieces were labeled. I was able to locate the pieces by looking at the pictures in the instructions. I started the assembly but using a screw driver was difficult and just wouldn't work at times. I took out my power drill and got it done in less than an hour. It is very sturdy and a cute little set up. It's for my 11 year old special needs son so it's definitely very small for him but he still loves it. I got it on sale so I would say it's worth it.
Great product. My 6 year old who loves playing shop just loves it. Awesome quality. Would rate 5 stars but the instructions are awful. Nothing is labeled and the pieces in the pictures look nothing like the actual pieces. The screw bags aren't labeled either so the guess work took most of the time with a few backwards assembly redos. In the end, all fit together well and it looks great, but be prepared to spend 2 hours on it with someone helping. If you have the patience, this is worth it!
Just finished building this , took almost 2 hrs.... extremely annoying . Otherwise - it's super cute
It was difficult to put together Doolittle wood did not have no numbers or letters on it you have to go by eyes and ears could find out how to put it together you have to have knowledge how to do it if you don't have knowledge forget it you won't get us together
I'm satisfied with the product in overall. Nice design and quick delivery. But I found the cashier drawer(?) was deliverd broken. I worry that my kid would hurt from this broken wood piece. I don't wanna return this whole product, cause I assembled it for 1 hour.. but want to replace the drawer.
So I bought this for my two year old. The instructions were horrible. Thank goodness for my dad who got it figured out with no letters on any pieces. But it took him hours. Then the register drawer was broken. And some of the fruit was sliced open. Not very happy with the amount of money spent on the item. Play food cans not included in my purchase. Had to buy separately.
Bought this toy for my kids for Christmas and instead of the grocery store toy, they sent me a tree!!
My kids were very happy with this toy until it got moved and the thin wood broke. Now because it was a gift from someone we no longer are in contact with I can't get replacement parts so my kids are screwed out of the one toy they played with most of the day
