The filing cabinet came with a dent in it and hardware missing

I bought this file a few weeks ago. I bought an "L-shaped" desk and I was having a hard time finding a lateral file cabinet small enough to fit. This one fits great, was easy to assemble and the drawers open and close easily and smoothly. Though I have only had it a short time, I think it is made well and will last for years to come.

I purchased this cabinet for myself a couple of months ago and was quite happy with it. Went together okay. Took a while, but was fine. Then, my Mom wanted one and so I purchased one for her. Unfortunately, hers didn't go together as well - differnet colour, but the drawers didn't line up as nicely. The front is also very hard to attach. We have added a handle to the top and bottom drawer too as if you don't pull the drawer from both sides, it could start to wear on the drawer.

Definitely takes long to put together then stated in instructions. Better labeling of parts would be nice , ex: top or bottom of drawer parts, label plastic parts on which direction to attach...or expanded view. I had to reattach plastic part after mounting them incorrectly. The Cabinet is functional, and does match the other wood furniture in my office. It was the best price for a filing cabinet with both drawers that lock.

Drawers do not open wide enough. Hard to get document/file out.

This would have taken me six hours to assemble. Sadly, there was a chunk out of one of the main panels when I received it so returned it. Will not be buying another one of these.

Terrible construction. The 2 drawers do not have any separation from each other so if you open the top top drawer it actually goes down over the bottom drawer so when you want to close the top drawer you have to lift it up to get it past the lower drawer. I can't return it because the item is built but you wouldn't know if the terrible design until it is built.

Horrible quality - screws don't even hold

Husband has assembled many things and is very good at it. IKEA furniture seems easy compared to this cabinet! Instructions were lacking. Took a whole day to assemble and the fit is all wrong! In the process of getting a refund.
