Great option for someone looking for a topper part-time. I normally use my truck bed 80% of the year but when hunting season comes in, I need the dry storage for gear. It is possible for someone to open it up and steal your stuff, but a locking tailgate makes that very difficult. The instructions are terrible, and It is not an easy install by yourself but it's doable. Overall I'm pleased with my purchase!

I have some issues the the cover. It had small holes in the top near the tubing area. These hose were small and looked like a manufacturing defect. The holes were at the stitch lines. My guess a stray or oversized needle moving around to elongate the hole. But Real truck contacted the manufacturer and i got it replaced. Prompt service and quick replacement. Would by from Real truck again...

I bought this for my Chevy Silverado with the 6'6 bed. I don't want a hard top but for family vacations it helps to have a water tight back end for stuff, you all know what I mean. I bought the bestop on a Monday and with no rush fee they had to me by Thursday. It took me less than 2 hours to install and less than 30 minutes to take off and store once we returned. It rained a lot between Hilton Head and Atlanta and not a drop made it inside my truck. All the while my kids were comfortable as was my wife. It made the travel much more enjoyable. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

Excellent Top for half the cost of a hard top. I'm really pleased with the conopies construction and how well it was made to fit my truck. This is not a piece of junk, Very easy to operate and it looks great too!!!

I was looking for a soft top for my pick-up as I wanted to avoid the high cost of a fiberglass shell and the storage problem that can come with it. I read all the reviews for this product and even though some of the reviews were not positive, some of them were and I decided to take the chance since it appeared the return policy was favorable. I ordered it on a Friday and it was delivered the following Thursday. It was rainy and chilly so I pulled my truck into the garage and went to work. I set all of the parts out on my workbench to make sure everything was there. I brought the canopy into the house to keep it as warm as possible, being aware of the recommended 72 degrees for install. At the end of the day, it took about 3 hours from start to finish. I installed it alone and took it slow so as not to make any mistakes or do anything out of order. All went as well as could be expected. Having read the reviews, I was thrilled that all of the parts were included and everything fit as expected. However, a couple of things that I believe can be improved upon. On installation step 3, the washers and cap nuts that screw onto the fixed studs of the belt rails, well, the studs could have been longer. Even an 1/8" longer would have made all the difference. I needed to dig up washers that were slightly thinner than the provided washers. One other issue is that the 63 1/2" measurement between the belt rails will not allow the rails to cover the side rail holes at the front or back on the top of the truck bed sidewalls. Not a problem with product quality. Design, maybe. As a result, the bed will not be water tight until I find a way to plug the holes. Other than that, terrific product. From now on it's a "time will tell" thing.

2012 Silverado HD 3500, crew cab, long bed, dually. Instructions very lengthy but difficult at times to understand. Illustrations were adequate but real photographs would be better. Pre-assembly went "ok" but in-truck installation was difficult. Instructions estimate 1.5 hours to install. Maybe after you've done a few but not for a newbie. Not all snaps on fabric align with snaps on hardware. Fabric is 2% too small so installation was grueling but final fit looks sharp - nice and tight. An earlier review complained about the clamping system. I haven't driven with the top on the truck (just installed it today) but tension from the top is so great that the rails lift at the back of the truck. Might have to screw them to the truck rails. I'm waiting to see if the fabric stretches a bit. The concept of a soft cap warrants kudos, especially when hauling a fifth wheeler at retirement (soon) and wandering all across the country with no permanent place to store a hard cap. Perfect for all trucks except those used for work, since it's the same security as a jeep soft top and can easily be accessed by thieves. Folding top makes it great for hauling large items and the best feature is the removable sides that makes it perfect for hauling the dogs around in the hot summer sun. My only disappointments are that it wasn't offered in any color other than black. The C-clamps used to hold the slide rails in place must the solution of their "no drilling required" selling point. Do yourself a favor and spend $3 on a handful of self tapping screws to fasten it securely to the bed. Trust me. If you don't, your neck will be sore from looking behind you to make sure it's not going to fly off going down the interstate because no matter how much I tightened them, they worked themselves loose. Biggest disappointment was with the side windows. The zip on the sides but not along the top. The top and bottom are "J" hooked that are big pain during cold weather. They should just revise the design to have zipper along the top as well. Overall, I love it and I'm always being stopped by strangers who want to know more about it.

Upon tring to install with the help of a couple of neighbor friends I was very dissapointed. Try as we may the top would not fit properly. I contacted youe company and was very pleased to find that your return policy was very good. You paid the return shipping and provided a prompt refund.
