Took it out of the box, attached to the side of the pool, plugged it in and we have a filter and pump. We used in a cowboy pool and it saved us from cutting holes into the sides.
Works great to keep my 8ft stock tank pool clean. Simply hang it over the pool edge and tighten the bolts. Easy to clean out. Just need to remove one screw to change out the filter. One twist of the ring and you can remove the skimmer basket. Happy with the cost. Well worth it.
We love this product. He has done all the work for us kept the water, beautiful and clear and the skimmer works great too. I have recommended to several friends already. Our pool is 8 foot wide 2 1/2 foot deep hard plastic and it has been a lifesaver, no slime no algae just a great product.
We use this on our 8' STP and LOVE it. It cleared up our pool in less than a day. We run it 2 hrs a day. It's quiet and unassuming but does a bang up job. The skimmer auto adjusts to water level so water and debris slide right into the skimmer.
Cant speak of the durability but seems to be doing the job it is designed for. Ordered for our stock tank pool and based on reviews and not having to drill into the sides we decided to go with this one. While the filter may work, getting it was another story. 1st one right out of the box the whole filter was cracked. called walmart immediately. thought it was resolved fairly quick but found out replacements only ship after walmart receives it back and processes the return. You can not return to store unless you want to pay for a 2nd one first. After 2 hours on the phone thought it was sorted out. I had to pay for a 2nd one (and based on crack i added the 2yr protection plan) next day 2nd one arrives with both the inner and outer cartons split open. opened it up and parts are missing. tried to return the 1st one to the store to find out they never cancelled the replacement. I was able to complete it on my own. Moral of this review is....... filter may be ok but walmarts customer service can not accommodate in a situation such as this. as the csr told me.... they are not amazon you know!
this is a great concept. however, I've only had it hooked up to my pool for 2 weeks and it's already stopped working. can't find anything on the internet about troubleshooting due to the fact that it's such a new product. extremely bummed on the fact that it stopped working. like I said it's a great concept but apparently needs the bugs worked out of it. I also feel as though the price is a little steep for what you get. it takes the small filters. I ordered the large capacity motor but it takes the small filters
This is very helpful for our above ground stock tank pool. However, it's not the greatest as far as being a skimmer and filter. It's doing the best it can but it could be better for the price. You really have to make sure it's under the water at the right depth or else the piece that locks the skimmer basket in place comes off.
Great concept but it falls short of expectations. The filter clogs way too quickly from the amount of tree debris and bugs in my area. A suction $30 skimmer works better with my sand pump filter. My pool surface was never free of debris with this skimmer.
Do not buy this pump. We have now purchased two, and both stopped working within months. The first was bought in August 2024, and the second in February 2025 for $165. Shockingly, the same pump is now priced at $375, yet the quality is nowhere near worth that. Our pool is a small stock tank with very little debris, so there should have never been an issue with clogging or overload. Despite proper use, both pumps failed far too quickly. Extremely disappointing and a complete waste of money.
Definitely not as advertised. It collects the stuff floating on top but then when you go to remove it to empty it all gets back in water. More collects under the basket and floats up. Seems like a waste of money.
