i was on a tight budget for my new children and im pretty happy with this. no issues yet :) buy tons of blankets my ferrets love to make huge holes in theirs, and i use them on top of the hard plastic shelf things

cage was a bit of a pain to set up but otherwise seems great. came quickly and in great shape. the rats are loving the space and i love the side opening doors for easy cleaning. the bar spacing and all of the latches for the doors seems secure also. a good enclosure for the money for sure!

Perfect for small mammals like sugar gliders

It'll do the job, but I should have went with XL. I have the 20.5x20.5 and it's okay. It holds the rats, great bar spacing for small animals. Good size for a couple rats. The downside is that it was a HUGE pain to build. Specifically the ramps and levels are difficult. Getting them installed was horrible and I dread removing for cleaning already. It only has the two small entrances, which make it incredibly hard to access the entire cage. Installing the levels and ramps through tiny doors with one arm is a back breaking and frustrating job. Installing hammocks and hanging toys are just as bad. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this size, but I would recommend the XL. I know someone who has it and it's a great cage! I should have spent the extra money for it.

The cage is great and of excellent quality. I use it to house 3 adult rats. The reasons it gets 3 stars is because ~ it is an absolute BEAST to get inside and clean the platforms with the doors on one side. It really should have doors on both sides to make cleaning easier. ~ the felt cover pouch-like things that cover the ramps have to be taken off by detaching the ramps from the platform (which is not exactly an easy feat). ~ there is nothing on the bottom sides to hold in the bedding material. It just lays flat on the grate and spills out of the wire sides. I do love the wire sides, which make fastening toys/ladders/wheels/etc super easy. The platforms are good to house tunnels, bowls, and houses/nests.

this cage comes with a tray that slides under the wire flooring. it's probably good for birds but it's not suitable for small pets and the tray falls out easily. it's OK with some home improvements but it's messy and the adjustments necessary to make it work make it ugly.

first off don't put rats in this especially if they're young rats they will get out. the spacing is about an inch maybe more so it's good for ferrets that's about it because you should not be putting a rabbit or a guinea pig and something like this. might be good for a chinchilla that's it.

I put together step 1. Tried to do the legs with wheels and it doesn't fit.

This spacing in an inch, not 1/2 inch. I have adult rats and won't be able to use this bc they will escape.
